  1. This position is based in Luton, working for a studio with plenty of IP, including many classic game licences. Currently working on these and brand new titles for PC, console and handhelds, we're now looking for someone with good C++ skills to join the team. Salary is up to £25k, you'll need commercial experience of C++ development, but this doesn't have to come from the gaming industry; as long as you can show that you'd hit the ground running, we're interested in talking to you. In the first instance, please e-mail joe@banburypersonnel.com or pm me with your number & I'll call you back. I'll need to see .cpp examples at some point, so make sure you have some ready! Joe
  2. Hi to everyone on the forum, just wanted to let you know about a vacancy I'm working on at the moment. Do get in touch with me if you're interested, or know someone who might be. I'm currently recruiting for a junior games artist, ideally with character / animation experience. This role could suit a graduate with an excellent showreel, or someone with related or industry experience who wants to move upwards in their career. This is one of many positions I have across the country (including level design, game art (char/env) and development roles). To answer a few questions: 1) Are you an agency? Yes - and the gaming industry is one of my specialisms 2) Do these roles exist? Yes - all positions I advertise are real, and for a specific company. When we talk I'll tell you all about the company, who they are, what games they have released etc. 3) What companies do you work with? A range of studios / publishers from small to international, including companies linked with the latest AAA games (e.g. GTA4 etc.) 4) Do you have graduate / beginner roles? Yes - I'll need to see examples / showreel 5) Why bother with an agency? I'm not like the big corporates. I trade on reputation, which means I actually care about getting you the right job. If I crowbarred you into a role you didn't want, you'd dislike me, you'd leave, the company would dislike me, and I'd get a reputation for poor service. This hasn't happened so I must be doing something right! I take the hassle out of you finding a new job - you can write 100 letters and not get anywhere, whereas I'll spend an hour getting to know about what you're looking for, and then hunt for the right role. Economies of scale! If you'd like to talk about this role, or other jobs I have across the UK, please e-mail me at joe@banburypersonnel.com thanks for reading! Joe
