Job description: -Develop technical guidelines for map design (best practices) -Establish the procedure for creating maps -Assist the lead level designer as technical coach -Monitor and evaluate maps and provide technical coaching for level designers -Perform feasibility tests, optimize maps and test the character AI.   2. Purpose of Position: The incumbent will create the game levels and create and/or implement the gameplay situations based on the creative vision. Missions: The main and routine functions of the level designer are to: -Understand the part that his/her level plays in the overall game experience based on the creative director’s vision; -Be familiar with the script and, more specifically, with the episodes in his/her level so that the story remains coherent; -Prototype the environment, establish the layouts, and suggest ways of using the interactive and non-interactive elements to create the desired emotions; -Communicate the results of the prototype to the other crafts in order to validate the intentions and have the level design TD assess the technical feasibility and the quality of the maps (game design director); -Work in collaboration with the level artists to ensure that the playability of the level and the graphic elements support each other; -As the project progresses, integrate the elements produced in the map (new gameplay, AI, sound, etc.); -Control the accessibility, understanding, and level of difficulty of the level; -Correct the level design bugs entered into the database by testers; -Carry out all other related tasks. Training: Attestation of collegial studies in video game level design and production or equivalent. Relevant Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in video game level design and production or any other relevant experience. Level Designer The candidate will be responsible for: creating game levels and maps, integrating the game plays according to the script and considering the fun factor and the immersion of the player, creating small cinematics in real time etc. Profile: A minimum of 2 years of experience in video game industry as a Level Designer or equivalent Ability to use software applications & editors and an ability to learn new tools A strong artistic and creative sense with the ability to design and build interesting, innovative, exciting and immersive levels in order to give to the player an unforgettable experience A strong and deep video game culture with a good knowledge of the general rules and mechanics of a game play A passion for videogames and the ability to create fascinating and compelling 3D environments from concept artwork; Basic knowledge of 3D Studio Max and Photoshop Ability to work under pressure with pre-establish restraints but with a flexibility for changes Good communication skills Ability to foster team-work Interest in the future of video games Open to work with a flexible schedule A desire to have fun!
