  2. This is definately one of our most popular custom maps, the layout is excellent. Like others have said, if you detailed certain aspects up a bit, it'd work great for our new Kosovo theater The map has come a long way since you first released it, great work~

Thanks I've worked on changing up building heights a little for the sake of aesthetics, but in real life most residential neighborhoods in northern Iraq are the exact same way; it's like a huge rectangular block, with the front face segments entirely different, while the building height is uniform. Point well made though, hopefully you'll like the new media I'll be posting soon. And yeah, I'm trying to change up my portfolio a good bit with urban stuff.
  4. I really appreciated all the constructive feedback and comments for ins_buhriz, so I decided to post WIP screenshots of my newest project for Insurgency. The map is named ins_mosul, it's a traditional urban multiplayer map based in the northern Iraqi city. I always jot down a short list of goals for my projects, so these should give you an idea what I'm going for. - Dense residential neighborhood consisting of narrow alleys and streets - Subway and sewer system connecting major chokepoints - 3 and 4 story apartment buildings, with overlapping fields of fire across streets - An enjoyable nighttime environment; more brightly lit, with cooler shades of ambient light
  5. Any constructive crit? I've gone from the blue scheme to the more atmospheric browns of the original version, while keeping the longer viewdistance and light settings. New skybox texture also. What do you think?

  7. There actually are antennas, smoke, buildings, etc.. but facing the other direction of this screenshot Thanks for the constructive crit everyone! I can't comment on the Steamworks thing but apparently it was all leaked by another mod, soo... hehe

  9. Very well made site. The image next to the Insurgency logo (the one that says "find out") looks a bit overscaled but otherwise, great work
  10. I did manage to change a few things you all mentioned, so the map looks a little different in the most recent compile. I went for an "earthier" brown lighting, changed shadow colors a little, changed water color and texture, and reduced HDR brightness, along with the majority of graphical glitches. Here's a sample, and more can be found in my portfolio. This version will be included with Insurgency 2.1 RC2, which comes out today. http://www.insmod.net What do you guys think?

  14. Hey everyone, first post on these forums. Anyway, this map will be included with Insurgency 2.1, sorry there's no link yet, but it'll be released in a few days. Buhriz takes place in the outskirts of Baghdad along a major river. Insurgents fortified a small village against a force of attacking Marines, who must fight along the river's edge and along the main road into the village itself. www.insmod.net
