Jetsetlemming reacted to -HP- in Overwatch
Playing against or with Golds is extremly annoying lol. They're either trolls, or they think they know better and ask you to swap to mercy cos their hanzo is the shit. There's a lot of Pharah-Mains and Genji-Mains too in gold and even plat. I got to Diamond and the experience is night and day, people communicate, people swap heroes, people ask if it's ok if they risk a Symmetra or some non-meta hero, etc.
I'm enjoying it a lot, so I think i'm going to try to get to Master, it'll be pretty hard but I'm enjoying competitive so much I figure I set some sort of goal.

Think I'm hovering around the same rank. Feel free to add me Ren#2237. Would love to have some Mapcore games to help each other climb.

Same. I was at 2980 last season. This season I'm floundering at ~2300 because team comps just aren't remotely reliable enough to build forward momentum.

Meanwhile I'm stuck in gold with people who only pick Hanzo or Genji. Or there's the Soldier 72's and McRee's who refuse to shoot down Phara's and people who choose Bastion or Widowmaker on attack. All the while they're screaming at me that I'm not healing them enough because that Phara keeps focusing me and I can't do nothing to get rid of her.

Don't go dissing guys. Farming Simulator is a great game. It actually brings new shit with each version for a reasonable price. Unlike CoD.

Yeah Pharah became a real plague to Ana now, too fast in the air.
But I also love Pharah sooooo

Not sure you read that post in the tone it was intended, D3ads

I'd imagine so was Death Stranding, since they made the multi-platform claim early on.

Finally got around to getting Wolfenstein®: The Old Blood™
Holy hell it was awesome. I was surprised of the quality of the whole thing. I keep my expectations low for expansions because of the usual trend of quantity over quality. This was totally worth it.

It's not the first time Stein has been behind a recount, she had one done back in 2004's election as well with no change in the end result. This one could well be no different.
Fair on the first point sure, but I'm not sure if I would consider democracy to have properly happened if a important number of votes were missed, and just potentially ignored with a 'fuck you got mine' attitude from the winners.
edit: scratch the first part of that argument as well actually, bit hard for me to agree after remembering that Trump was not going to accept the vote if he lost anyway, at least that's what he has said leading up to the election day.

mgs 3 was pretty memorable

I would have put in metro last light on my list, but they locked the cannon ending behind the moral system, after two playthroughs that failed to get that ending, I can safely say 'fuck that'
So here's what I have instead.
Outlast (Whistleblower dlc) Bastion X-com (victory ending) -

If we're talking boss fights in general, Iudex Gundyr from Untended Graves in DS3. Completely optional, but hands down one of the best boss fights I have ever had. Even getting hit and knocked down was cool because he'd immediate go after you and you would feel like the underdog hero rolling away from the supervillain's next attack. I actually felt sad when I finished it, it was a pretty zen flow experience.
EDIT: As for end bosses, I think Thief 2's Sabotage at Soulforge was a masterpiece and the ending is great.

Good Topic!
For the life of me, I can't remember most of the endings I've played anymore. But the ending of Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons really invoked some strong feelings that I will remember till the day I die. Says a lot for a game that you could beat in one session.
Also the boss fight of Dark Souls 1 left me some good memories. I really felt I've accomplished something rather than ticked a box of seeing the end credits roll.

MGS4 ending still gives me goosebumps every time I watch it:

They haven't even done that. There's been a bunch of disgusting bullshit from rich white democrats basically saying "Ugh, I can't believe I pretended to support you fags!" and blaming marginalized people for the loss, instead of the DNC and Clinton campaign shitting the bed. They apparently had this "algorithm" telling them where and how to spend money to best win the election, and it was telling them to do shit like "Completely ignore the state of Wisconsin, and instead put all your time into courting moderate Republicans in already "blue" states". They won rich Republican strongholds in Democratic controlled states for the first time since the 80s, like Orange County, CA, Stanton Island, NYC, Fairfax, VA, etc, but CA, NY, and VA all were Democratic states ANYWAY, and electoral college votes are distributed "winner take all". Getting 60% of a state gets you nothing extra over 50% +1 of a state.
Meanwhile, they assumed everyone who typically votes for them would, which was an incredibly stupid assumption, as seven million people who showed up to vote for Obama in the last two elections stayed home this year, and we had the lowest overall voter turnout in 20 years. Trump got basically the same number of votes as Mitt Romney did in 2012. The Clinton campaign just completely lost their base, chasing after shitty suburban white people. And now, a bunch of assholes are in the media claiming the loss was because poor white people are racist and hate gay and trans people. That might be true, but also poor white people (just like everyone of every group below median income in the US) still voted more for Clinton anyway. It was middle class suburban white people who voted for Trump, in the right places to give him the lion's share of the "electoral votes" of this stupid system set up originally to let slave owners vote on behalf of their slaves (seriously).
Also, our voting machines are extremely vulnerable. It's been proven for over a decade people could just hack our elections, from multiple researchers, and we haven't done anything about it, because anyone who suggests the possibility is shouted down as a wackjob. Paper ballots would mean cable news couldn't have election night results, because counting would take longer! Buying new machines would cost money! Our media narrative, just like our system, is fucking stupid at every level.
While Trump is a terrible existential threat to almost everyone I know (literally, not figuratively like for rich assholes writing op-eds in the New York Times, we're actually dependent on things like government health care and the cops preventing instead of encouraging pogroms), I kinda would rather he not have this yanked out from under him. The public reaction amongst his supporters (<20% of the country, but enough to fuck shit up) would be extremely violent, and for the rest of the people the relief at avoiding Trump would make them less likely to fight Clinton than if she'd just won outright in the first place.

Damn that was fast, the gut who never settles settled for 25 million, said he wouldn't pursue Clinton with investigations, and he continues his childish behavior with a Broadway show and tries a way to attack verbally CNN and CBS...
Doesn't that feel like a good old hangover like for the way UK is going down in flames with their bills destroying Internet privacy and still not leaving the EU? Am I the only one seeing a pattern?

lol I'm sure that guy might think the statement isn't racist, but it's still totally insulting bullshit. "illegal immigrants" aren't "sent" by anybody and they come because the economy of rural Mexico has been completely decimated by NAFTA: As American factory jobs move to Mexico City (briefly before shutting down again and moving to Asia), heavily subsidized American farms are impossible to compete with without import fees, and so farms all across Mexico have gone bankrupt and gotten foreclosed on, and the farmers and their hands are all unemployed, starving (since they've lost their farms and income and can't afford the cheap-for-the-city but expensive-if-you're-broke American food), and thus forced to go north and work for those American farms that put them out of business. That's what "illegal immigration" is: The movement of people responding to the free movement of capital putting them out of work.
Or at least, that's one side of it. The other side is people, mostly children, fleeing gang and drug violence in places like Columbia and Guatemala, drugs grown to be sold in America (and they're smuggled in by plane and boat, not border crossings, btw), and gangs funded by America to fight left-wing governments.
The US has completely fucked up all of North and South America, especially South America. That's not the fault of anybody outside the rich assholes who control what the US does. Even the shitty government of Brazil can be traced back to the pre Civil War US going to war to prop up the Brazil's slaveowner class, as defending "New World" slavery was our primary foreign policy of the time.
We're a bad country, and Trump's part of that, despite claiming he's gonna fix that by blaming people who had nothing to do with it.
