    Hi all, I'm working on a legal drama video game, to be released on mobile and eventually in a 3D PC port/upgrade. (Mobile version set for release in Q4 2016). Twelve Absent Men is a satirical legal adventure game with comedic characters, an enthralling storyline and a polished, modern cartoon look. Solve puzzles, confound witnesses and outwit the state prosecutor in this race to that crucial verdict: not-guilty! Here are some shots of my approach to the 3D art so far. Any comments are welcome.   9. Hey All, Beta 2 of my Ep 2 modification, Twelve Absent Men is now out! **Known issues: There's a bug in the fifth level (which will be fixed in the upcoming update). Here's a rundown on the story: The story centres around the main character (unnamed) who has been arrested for a crime, yet never told what the crime is. Over the course of the mod the character's history will be revealed, and it will be put to question whether he actually committed a crime at all. Featuring cutscenes, a "trial" sequence, and a prison escape section - the mod is currently in beta stage. The latter levels depicted in some of the images (of a post-apocalyptic town) - are not in the current version but will be included in future versions. Just a note on installing: *NB: Unzip the file into your common/Half-Life 2 folder* Run the first map "dew_house1" via the ingame developer console of HL2: episode 2, by doing the following: 1) Enable the developer console in the 'advanced options' of the options menu. 2)Click the tilde key '~' (top left of your keyboard). 3) Type into the box "map dew_house1" and press Enter.

  16. (Final screen is not in the bsp, it's just to show where I was going to take it -> namely to the mental ward of the prison) This is a map I was working on a while ago. It actually got to a playable state and yet somehow I never released it. So here's a very-close-to-final version. It's a small (10-15min run, 20 if you are very slow) Ep2 map involving a prison escape. It is basically all action gameplay (shooting), though it does have some smaller elements of strategy towards the end with the major battle sequence. There are some obvious needs (lack of voice acting for instance + 3d skybox) and it could definitely do with being twice or three times as long!   17. Some really really old stuff in here. heh. Planned to release a CS:S version of my Troy DP map (Troy DP was released but bombed obviously...) but the map was way too big and laggy. Still heaps of fun with bots. CS:S map I never finished: Dystopia map: De_etape2 (never released) Planned l4d_chinatown map... (Lanterns were from Blitzkreig, I think...) Compo map that was never expanded into a proper map: Was planning to use my church map for a machinima project... never happened... Age of Chivalry Westerlyn, which I think was redone after I left the team, so my version: Something I'll finally release (a singleplayer hl2:ep2 project) because of this thread!

    [TF2] ctf_outset

    This was my entry to compo25 over at TWHL. The idea was to remake a map from another game/engine, so I chose to remake outset island from WindWaker. (Which, if you haven't played it yet, is a great game ) As such, there are a few things I'm going to set straight first before you comment. Firstly, the original was singleplayer, and as such I've done my best to optimize (a lot, believe me), but any continuing issues you might have are probably due to how open it is (which I wont change). Secondly, sniper's aren't as such a big problem as they might seem, mainly due to the layout. Also, I've also only tested at 4v4, which worked well, not sure about gameplay above that. (I've also taken the liberty of adding in extra bits not in the original, mainly so that it fits into tf2 and also so that the layout works better) So yeh, screens: Here's a dl link: http://www.rabid-monkey.com/~dewdle/files/ctf_outset_dewdleb6.rar Enjoy.

    My original intent wasn't really at an aztec setting, I figured what I ended up with was something with a similar look but I didn't base it on any references really. You've made great points so far so I think I'll go back and change a few things to improve it :wink:

    It's basically a hl2dm map set in an aztec setting. There's not much I can say about it, I guess playing is experiencing. It seems to play really well with around 8 people but could probably play well up to about 16. Weapons are generously dished out, shotgun and rpg are probably the best suited, I also positioned the crossbow in a "sniper" spot, though you can be ferreted out quite easily. All in all fairly balanced, fast paced and enjoyable. Hope you like.
