actually, it's not strictly Q3. for COD4 they have written their own. however, it's likely that they followed in the same path as Q3.

the layout is my #1 bugbear - it's too hard on the eyes. ... after that it's the hard to navigate issues.

Well, if *all* the multicore stuff is in the engine support - I guess they could roll-out a different engine on Source SDK Base - but then what would the mods do that use the app ID's from CS:S and DoD? hrmm. If there is an exposed API for multi-core tech in the SDK, e.g. some kind of manager thing, then they would have to start branching code here there and everywhere - and the whole SDK code rollout becomes even more cumbersome than it already is >_<. This whole thing starts to make think scripting in engines is a good idea >_< (easier for legacy support etc etc).

your QC file looks in the format of Valves KeyValues stuff - not sure what's going on there .

yea, Facebook is turning into MySpace with all these applications - peoples pages take forever to load and is just a visual mess with all the glitter GIF flowers, jedi vs sith, pirates, poorly written image apps etc etc. This makes me sad because I used to love Facebook due to how visually clean it was .
