  1. Oh yeah, true .. hope it's better now:
  2. Random stylized prop, trying to get better at handpainted stuff. 806 Triangles:
  3. Doing an internship at Metricminds in Frankfurt, Germany . I'm working there as a lighting and vfx artist for some cutscenes.
  4. Yeah, you're totally right, silhouettes are quite weak atm. Gonna work on it when I've got some more time.
  5. thx, it's more going to be like a small town or fortress in the middle of the desert. Atm I'm trying to create a basic set of modules, with which I'll build the env from there on.
  6. Unfortunate that you can't use normal maps and proper lighting on these meshes, but still looks cool. I had some time to spend on stuff for my udk scene:
  7. Hey folks, here are some of the textures I have done so far for the map. Let me know what you think about them . normal normal normal normal normal normal normal normal
  8. Dat texture porn! What was your workflow on these? did you make them based on some bakes or was it just pure ps magic?

Played the demo tonight and I'm loving it. Feels really smooth and the environments look really sexy. Some of the power ups felt kinda strange, like those blue balls that slow you down, but all in all I think this will be great, especially in multiplayer!
  10. Really nice mood you got there, only thing that bothers me are that the palm leaves appear to be dry
  11. looks so cool , now I got to make more textures!

    Yay, fun fun fun
  13. haha, yeah it's still very blocky atm, just more of a texture test, to see how they work in the engine. Actually it would be kinda fun to see how an all normal mapped, 2048² res textures minecraft could look like. @Jenno: yeah, I've already tried to work on that a little, so thats how the planks look like atm: Still no strong highlights and shadows on the edges tho, just some more shading. Maybe I'll get back to that (and the other textures) once I got better in doing that kind of a style.
  14. Atm I'm trying to get away a little bit from hyper realistic stuff to some more stylized, fantastic environments, with all handpainted textures. That's something I haven't been doing a lot so far, so I want to get into that, learn some new techniques by the way and hopefully end up with a nice scene in the end. I found a pretty nice concept art, made by Pascal Casolari for that purpose: Here's what I've got so far: And some flats:
  15. Uow, that looks insane. If you need any props and textures just send me a pm .
  16. In case you need another guy testing, I'm in .
  17. Oh, that looks interesting, but no, I'm not.
  18. rogerroger (Nope, ziehe in den nächsten beiden Wochen Stück für Stück um )
  19. And another corridor in my temple . Could be too dark on other monitors, I'm afraid mine isn't calibrated very well: And some minor progress on that pavillon thingy:
  20. Wow, that was intense, enjoyed every second of it. All those beautiful textures and tiny little details, and there were some extremely good looking rooms here and there . Only part that didn't felt that polished was surface tension, with some pretty lame spots like this beauty here: Also, I was really looking forward to that dam level, which didn't turn out to be that great, but whatever, the overall experience was amazing and especially in end with lambda core it became super awesome again .
  21. Is it this one? http://www.chip.de/downloads/c1_downloa ... cd1cea0c5d yep
  22. Downloading with 2Mbit, fuck yeahh. http://www.chip.de/news/Half-Life-gratis-Black-Mesa-jetzt-zum-Download_57495929.html (Download is somewhere at the bottom)
