I played it for about an hour today, it was pretty damn fun. Gun speed could be sped up a bit but I don't see it as that big of a problem and I didn't hear anyone complaining about it. My only gripe is the whole loot thing. Everyone I played with didn't seem to care or know what to do and were to busy killing each other to bother with it. I didn't really grasp it that well myself. I think a cool way to do it would be more of an attack/defend style or even something like where the bandits have to steal something from point A and take it to point B and have the vigilantes trying to stop them. Bottom line is the main gametype needs some major adjusting or tweeking. Also you guys should really add more gunsmoke, like tons of it. These were the days before smokeless powder afterall.

My advice is to wait for nvidia's next generation card, and get whatever else is new at that point. I built a new rig this summer and I'm happy with it except for the fact that crysis totally reams it. If crysis is any indication of the future requirements of games to come in the next few years then I am screwed. My rig: C2D e6600, 8800GTS 640mb, 2gb DDR 800 I plan on oc'ing everything soon, though. edit: also when you build your computer, make sure you have room to expand. For example, I made sure I got a motherboard that supported 1333fsb and quad-core so in the future I can always upgrade, along with a sli supported mobo. however instead of going sli, I will probably just buy a newer card.

Looks awesome... It's nice to see a completed TC for max payne. I used to be on a mod team back in the max payne 1 days, I hated that editor.

I agree with you. Call of Duty was much more of an arcade experience... I didn't much enjoy it. There is never a change in pace of the action either, it is always pure chaos, and it gets old after awhile. Maybe it's just not my type of game. To be honest, Insurgency has probably done the best job of realisticly representing firearms. The only other games I can think of are maybe Operation Flashpoint and Americas Army, but Insurgency comes far closer. For the most part, my only problem with the first release was the fact that half the people playing it never knew what the hell were they doing thanks to the lack of an objective map. Now that this has been fixed i'm pretty excited about giving it another go.

I used to be weary of DD, but every PC game i've bought in the past year or so has been through steam. It's 100% more convenient.

I've only been once, my favorite place in london was picadilly circus. There's lots to do there.

I think the media(news) is just as much to blame as TV, movies, videogames, etc. If you look at the school shooting history in the US it usually comes in waves, the late nineties being the worst, seems like there was one every other month. And it all came down to the media dwelling on it constantly 24/7. I'm not saying they shouldn't report it, but when they release all the footage of the columbine shooters, or the manifesto of the guy from virginia tech it does 100x more harm than good. This guy used youtube beforehand so there was nothing that could be done, but I hope that no media organisation ends up airing that trash. In the end, though there is never one thing that motivated a person like this to do what they did but rather a multitude of things and it's ignorant to try to single out one thing.

Really? I quite like it, it makes it look more 'gravelly'. I've never seen a parking garage with a gravelly floor... don't get me wrong, it looks good. But I don't think it belongs in that particular setting.

I played through it twice, that was awesome. I'm going to have to buy this sooner than I thought. It ran surprisingly well on my rig with the very high setting mod. little choppy here and there but by all means playable.

To add fuel to the fire, I just got a zune. It was only like 100 bucks, I coulnd't pass it up.

Looks good, but you need to remove the big stones to make it look good. It's not tiling well currently. start cloning and stamping hehe. You could work on the moss as well, it's a little to splotchy. try to make it look like its growing and make it look more connected.

I'm pretty sure vivendi will market the shit out of this, especially with jack black being involved. So hopefully it will do well. I hope.

Yeah they used to show this alot on adultswim, it was only one episode. I've never heard much about it since... I wish they made more. You should check out metalocalypse too.

my roommate got it the other day. One thing that puzzled me though, is it really possible to do 16 player coop singe player campaign?

we have the intuos pads at school, not sure as to the size but they are pretty big. I would like one, but they are too damn expensive, but I know I will probably get one sooner or later.
