  1. Small update, worked on the gen texture a bit and made a simple low poly fuel line.
  2. A selection of stuff that is going in the background of some images I am making. They dont have to be super detailed because they wont be very big in the shots.

  4. I am a bit short on time, so I am cutting my losses and entering my t-rex as it is now. Render is 100% self illum. *edit* updated picture.
  5. Looks nice ginger, only real crit is those sandbags look like they might fall over if they where hit by somthing. Maybe need another layer behind them for support.

    I have done that a hundred times using every combination of file names and file types. It ignores the material I tell it to use and uses the standard hl2 named one. I dont know if this is just an issue with the sdk as bg2 is based on hl2dm, it may work for other source mods.

    I have made my own custom grass sprites already. But I have put it on hold when I realised hammer ignores custom detail materials. It will only use the material with the same name as the hl2 one. This means if I use a custom one it will change everybody elses bg2 map that uses the sprites .
  9. His left arm looks like its bent downards like his elbow is smashed. His eyes need some red around the edges, and a bit of shadow as well.

    I share your dislike for the hl2 grass. It was ok to begin with but you just get so tired of seeing it. This grass is straight from my garden .

    Small update, I have started on the house/farm buildings at the edge of the map.
  12. My only real crit is it feels a bit over enginered. Thats some hefty woodwork to just hold up a few tiles.
  13. Try using a darker shade of the bone colour for the shadows. Instead of using burn tool.
  14. They already look like that: I think the screenshots give the impression they are looking down, when they are not.

    All still wip.
  19. I am working on a German Jäger for bg2. He is going to replace the current Loyalist class. I think he is going to be armed with a rifle so will be pretty potent in fights. Its all wip btw, he still needs to go through several layers of texture detailing.

    Your both close. At long range the foliage switches to a 8 triangle billboard style tree.

    I have started work on the 3d sky. I have added a few small trees and houses, but it still has lots of work needed to do on it.

    I have decided to make my own thread, things are changing fast so I dont want to flood the wip thread. Anywho, heres whats going on, started work on a river to the side of the emplacment. It ends in a large waterfall. I have roughed that in with a scrolling texture for the water, but I still need to get it looking nice. I think I will start on my skybox very soon, its going to dictate the look of the map a lot I think. I am still not 100% sure how I am going to do it. At the moment I am leaning towards making a big model.
  23. What fog glitch?. The smoke around the cannon? that is test to try and get the smoke stack to go out sideways not up(which clearly failed ). Or do you mean the fact everything just ends, thats because I have not made much yet , no skybox etc.
