  1. I am exporting tgas from demos in game. The animation is of the building, so its shots taken straight from the engine. There wont be any characters or anything, its purely based on the environment.
  2. Its inspired by lots of photos from urban explorers.
  3. To save flooding the pimping thread, I shall keep all my stuff for my animation in here. I have started on an inside shot, its still blocky at the moment. I plan on making some models for the colapased roof and floors. *edit* I am adding new iamges to this post as they are posted on the end of the thread.

  6. Arch added. As for the colours, I am changing them every time, I dont think I will be fully set until I have all the shots done so I can make sure they all work together.
  7. Yeh thats a good call, I have not baked any shadows for them yet.
  8. Baked shadows in to building, adjusted grass colour and sizes. Made some gate posts and railings.
  9. Yeh when its done in 23 days (thats the deadline). The final thing will be an animation taken from all in game stuff. It would not work as a real level as that is just a facade.
  10. Uni project stuff, its for an animation, so it isnt a real level as such. I am making it like a film set, only what the camera will see is in.
  11. For my uni project. All very wip at the moment, just going to get it all textured then go back and sort some issues out. I will also make the other side un mirrored, I cant be bothered to do that now as its getting late.

  14. There is a bit of artistic license going on, this is for an animation. So going for atmosphere more than proper realism. *edit* Latest version.
  15. Test room for Uni project. Its a proof of concept rather than anything I will use in the project. All textures and models are custom bar the window. When I come do make it it will be for an animation, rather than a "real" level.

  17. Tree . I have left a bit of room on the texture to add some ivy on the trunk, I have not done this yet though.
  18. Max through and through here, I tried maya for a while and just could not get in to it. For game stuff I cant think of anything that maya has that max doesn't.
  19. I made them not blending because I wanted them to be more of a real cliff face, rather than a smooth hilly with a distorted rock texture on them.
  20. Just started back up on this map, I think I posted a shot a while back. *edit* Pictures to big?
  21. Plodding away at this in my very limited free time. I am hoping to replace the big ugly brushes with models when I get spare time. I also need to start thinking about routes around the map. Now I think about it I also need to make lots of little glows for the fairy lights . *edit* If you want to know about the scale, a player is smaller than a bauble on the tree. *edit again* Yes I know theres no fire .
  22. The tree is a great big model. Each layer of branches has a area clipped off that the player can move around and fight on. The tree itself is in the corner of a large living room. The rest of the room is still wip, I will post more shots when I get some more of the modeling done.
  23. Little preview of a fun xmas project. I will post more shots when I have more done. Me and my house mate have a lot more models to make.
  24. Shooting for cold and wind swept. Trying to keep it as subdued as possible, later scenes in the animation are going to have light snowfall. Yeh, so in conclusion, I can see what your shooting at, but it isn't the look I am going for. Rough kind of idea is the battle at the start of gladiator, that kind of cold colours etc.
  25. Background trees are just planes, purely to keep render times down. At the moment its just one type of tree and texture. I have lots of textures for trees in the works. I plan on making a much more varied forest then.
