  6. anyone having issues with cascade shadow mask? can't get it to work on textures with alpha :(

      hmmm I'm not sure, I know its working on some textures like metalgrate003a, but wasnt able to make a custom texture and get it to work, tried a bunch of different things, ...so either its broken, or something else change :(

      self solved, didnt manage to get the texture shadow to work, so converted the displace to a prop and added it to lights.rad

      not the solution I wanted, but the end result is the more or less the same,...so.. ggs

  8. workshop publisher error code 7....whaargh argh whats wrong (read up a little on the csgo workshop wiki...) 200 mb is the max file size for csgo maps... bye bye spec and cube maps :)

      you can add me on steam id/invalidnick if you want to try the current version (updated it yesterday), haven't really planned on making the project public until its (somewhat) complete :) will try to wrap it up and release it in the upcoming weeks,

      increased the lightmap scale to 32 (was 16) on most brushes, didn't really decrease any of the visual quality but saved me 7-9 mb, the only roof I'm hitting now is the max models, time to cut some more :)

      I see, didn't know that, the workshop wiki said max size for a csgo map is 200 mb, but they might have changed it

      cut normals in half, opted out alphas from most normals, removed normal and spec on most models,

      at 193 mb now, so might need to cut some more, time will tell :)

  18. Now it's official! As the current main teacher for Level Design at The Game Assembly, an advance vocational education, (University level but not academic, focused on pratice) in Malmö, Sweden is stepping down I'm about to step into his shoes and teach in everything from level design to game engines and scripting. First off at 100% and then I will drop down to 75% to continue my journey with my own studio.

    Finally some economic stability in my life, a total relief!
