    Hell.
  1. It's nice work, but I just don't like the idea behind the story you're putting him in, it doesn't fit his character because he wasn't one to easily give up and turn into a recluse. I do remember Full Throttle being my favorite game as a child, and I even tried to bring it back but my CD won't work on the newer OS's and the freeware rip is shakey at best. You're also forgetting to elaborate on what happened to Mo, as well as several other characters. Nice work though :]
  2. Those shoes are pretty nicely done, the rest...eh. Well it's good for a first try but you might want to consider a few things. A. Get DeepPaint3D or Bodypaint. They are your best friends for organic texturing. B.Use photo overlays for cloth, leather, whatever. It bumps the texture up to a greater level. C. Reference photos when painting on folds and what not, because right now they're kind of inaccurate. Just observe how certain cloth is affected by gravity at certain points. If you follow these, you're good to go.
  3. You missed the part where it says that it's a collab?
  4. http://services.co.dakota.mn.us/jailsearch/ for good free face refs
  5. Well, here's a remake of the HL1 grunt that me and Romka of the hl2world.com forums are doing.
  6. I disagree. That modeling tutorial is bogus because it teaches you to work with NURBS which is not a standard tool most modelers use, especially for low-poly stuff such as this. If you have access to the HLMV, reference their topology. That's how I learned how to do low-poly organics.
  7. Sorry I haven't been workin on this...I got picked up by the NMRiH team is a character modeler so I never got around to finishing it. Seems a little pointless since the dead line is over now.... :/
  8. And now for the new normals for the legs.
  9. update. a flat, to show you how I work. (don't mind the stupid watermark, I am half-asleep and I don't give a shit if it's wrong)
  10. As per request, I've started making the zombie texture for him as well.
  11. skylight 0.5, 2 omni's 0.4
  12. K, done basically. I scaled the pack and suspenders a bit, as well as changed the texture a bit.I can't get the normal map to show up very well in the render, so I'll probably get him compiled in the future and make SSs. He's made of a diffuse, normal, alpha, and spec map.
  13. A. You can't see his chin, plus the ref I used had a slightly rounder face. B. It's all slapped on a 1024 map, minus the head which is a 512. Me either. I ended up finishing it just for fun because Epidemic never really told me if I was still on the job or not. I keep asking but he never responds, so basically it's just portfolio work I suppose.
  14. Old character model that I just found the time to finish. Workin on a normal map to go w/ it.
