Over here (holland) theres kinda a debate about wether islam is a problem or not. Some ppl think it isnt, that islam has nothing to do with the violence, and others think it has. The funny thing is, a somali muslim woman (a refugee) in our government says islam is the root of the problem. Basically she says islam is peaceful, but extremely open to extremist influences. She doesnt hate islam and shes still a muslim, but she hates extremists. She says a few dozen (in holland) are violent extremists, a few thousand are supportive of the extremist ideas, and the giant majority of muslims is peaceful but says islam is perfect and it cant be a problem. If you say their religion is peaceful, but open to extremist influences, theyre outraged. Needless to say she lives in constant hiding and several extremists carrying machineguns or pistols and a hitlist with her name on it(and many others)have been arrested. I dont know how it is in the US, but over here when you insult the quran, you need protection from extremists. If you make a comic about muhammed, or a movie, or a painting whatever, the peaceful majority of muslims condemns you, and when you get killed, theyre shocked and say "Killing is bad, but you know its dangerous to insult islam, you should have known, youd still be alive today". That kinda sums up the problem. How can it be dangerous, and not be a problem? And then there are ppl who want to be politically correct at all times afraid to be called racist (i know its not a race), they probably think they are racist if they do connect islam to the problem. I said in another thread here that i thought islam had something to do with terrorism, and i was told to GTFO and never come back. It has nothing to do with racism or hating the religion. Christianity had such a time, its in the history books. If you dont want to admit that islam can have anything to do with the problem, you must be quite sure that religion is perfect. And i get the vague impression that none of you even vaguely believe that. I guess its ok to say religion is the root of alot of evil, but its completely racist to say islam is maybe a bit more open to extremists than others. Well, in holland we have a combination of dicks, pussies and assholes. Right now, the assholes are the majority and the pussies are being shit on. What we need are more dicks. Truth is that the world lacks dicks and thus I think were gonna be in deep shit.

I dont like that either. I too encounter sometimes Jehovas or people walking around and screaming passages. Yeah that sucks and I also dont like that. But I see too much generalisations in the critique. Yeah, it sucks that there are still fuckheads preaching hell and doomnation all day, it sucks that there are still people who dont think for themselves but only seek the security in the promise of a better afterlife. Its messed up that there are still people who dont hink for themselves and blow themselves up in crowded places and are prepared to kill childs, jus because they are promised paradise. Fuck that. Thats not believing. And I think most people know that.

I hate pacifists... Oh, and GreyFox, I'm pretty sure I'd be able to do it. I also think it would be my responsabillity to do so. To say I'd enjoy it was a joke. Maybe not the most suited one. Sorry for that. Yes I would feel sick after torturing a guy but if I would be 100% sure about the fact that I could save innoncent lives with it, I do it. That's just my view on this case.

What if you were innocent and tortured because someone thought you had information that could save people? You'd still think it's ok?
