  1. I heard that as well, but a guy at work recons that max will be tailered for games, where as maya will go further into things such as CG animations

I have to agree with seir, Max to Maya has been very frustrating for me, I much prefer max, maybe because Im used to it, but I find max so much quicker to work with (Mayas star menu drives me nuts, and theres no target weld! ) But its still a 3D package. I think its personal preference, but theres no question that I choose max over maya

Thanks again guys We're looking into adding money falling out whilst you hold the chest, to lay a trail for others to follow As for the traps, once you know where they are, they're quite easy to avoid The spikes in the wall are only activated if you touch the sun beams coming from the ceiling, though most of the time, people are running to fast to realise they are there The sliding doors can be annoying, but its quite funny hiding in them with the chest, and seeing people after you

    When on an internship at Lionhead, I met the leads on this and got to play it That was over a year ago, it was pretty fun, but there was only so much you could do at that time
  7. I'd recommend more light blue colours, and some mist in the valley Possibly frost on some of the grass too Awesome so far though
  8. He was doing Parkour Some impressive stuff for sure
  9. I loved it, though the ending pissed me off, it kicks you out the game. I wanted that XP and to continue playing on etc

    Glad you like it guys I was in charge of the scriptwriter scripts for it, whilst on a 6 week internship Having said that most people think its all randomly generated, due to the films produced being able to use different sexes, and a lot of the time, random costumes as well Ah well, at least Im in the credits (Gareth Thomas) I have a groovy lill plaq with the game in and my name on too

    Its a layout based of the original that was on HL1 Top down it looks really blocky, alot of stuff disapears etc as it was a noclip from above, though I do agree that the Viking area needs more roundness As I said the Cafe and Viking areas are the most unfinished on the map

    Thanks Friechamp I'll work with that Hessi, I admit its a little opaque, I'll lesson the alpha, but its already got layers at diff speeds PS: Regarding the seams, I was refering to the ground to the rock, not the waterfall stuff, I have that covered Unless thats what you meant, then great!

    Hey Hessi, what do you mean about the waterfall? And regarding the seams, how would you recommend it? I don't want to use the same texture blended up from the floor onto the rocks, it just doesn't look right Not at least using the alpha blending.
