  1. 6 hours in and I've just shaken the training wheels. It does like to take it's time to explain how to "break the loop" which I honestly don't mind. theres a lot of mechanics and systems that needs a thorough explanation since it feels like the game opens up a lot after that. Some signs of a bumpy launch. I would have loved to try out online on my first level when making my first assassination but I couldn't connect to the online service yesterday. The game itself works amazingly good on PS5 with the 60fps mode. A funny incident with my first AI Julianna encounter. I had just setted up a turret for no apparent reason in the rooftop next to Colts aparment and when she showd up, I just ran past my turret off the rooftop and she just ran into my turret and got shred to pieces instantly. So my first Julianna encounter lasted less than 30 seconds. I quite like it so far!
  2. I dunno. Seems alright for a next entry of The Matrix. *Adjusts glasses* We really don't know if it's a sequel or not. It does represent an older version of Neo though it might tell us that it is indeed a hard reset of Matrix after Smith had been dealt with but it could also be a version of Matrix before any of that, making it a prequel, or something in between. We know there has been multiple versions of Matrix and Neo, as seen in The Matrix Revolutions. Notice the plural in all of the names. The movie could just be one represention of the many.
  3. Got me a PS5. I haven't have a proper console since xbox360. ( Switch doesn't count since I never use it in docked mode. ) I've been coutch gaming most of this pandemic with my PC so why not go all in. I've been wanting on playing those PS exclusives too. Pretty fucking sweet that most exclusives I was planning on trying out from PS4 are included in their subscription packages. Though not all, I'll try get some missing ones 2nd hand. It'll be a while until I've cleared some of the backlog to even try out the new stuff. Can't wait. The adaptive triggers are amazing.
  4. Just finished it the other day. Its definitely a upgrade on all aspects from the previous game. Here's what I think about it. pros: World & biomes definitely the highlight of the game, I liked the variety and the challenges each biome gives. Felt like a gigantic world to explore, the "hotspots" or POIs were much dense with less void between them. In retrospect they are like, really packed together. But for a person exploring the world for the first time, feels a lot more bigger than it really is More surface exploration was both refreshing from being underwater and I liked the challenge of keeping warm until you unlock the snow suit, zooming around with Hover bike was so much fun. I especially enjoyed earlygame, making some oxygen tubes to the northern kelp caves where I got some useful upgrade. I forget what it was but it felt important to make such effort since I didn't have much at that point. Story was all round better I liked the voice work and all the banter between the protagonist and Al-AN, not to forget all the voice logs which I found interesting to hear. Instead of finding just derelict stations and ships, finding another survivor was refreshing. Both the design and movement of all the life forms. Fish properly look like fish with all the wonderful fins and tentacles and whatever things each fish has attached to their bodies, merrily flopping around. I felt the medium sized hostile creatures frightening! Especially the spiky one thrashing around with its 4 webbed feet when it's coming at you, gets your blood pumping. There were less items and upgrades than in the last game but I used almost every item & upgrade in the game and they felt they had some use one way or the other. I ignored quite a bit of some upgrades & items in the last game since they felt unuseful. Flares for instance did not have any use in the last game, they now they repel those furry polar reptiles which are really hard to deal with otherwise. I felt really bad after knifing one to death before I figured that out. I made one nest of orphans out of my ignorance. Seaglide radar! It's a lifesaver. cons: Leviathan creatures, all of them. They felt too agressive, predictable and just plain nuisance. I did not figure out any tactic how to repel them or avoid them in the last section of the game. Leviathan attack just felt like a 5 sec pause of the gameplay resulting of me repairing my seatruck in the end of it. Also the leviathan on top of the ice seemed to lack something and usually felt unfair for me to not be able to avoid getting hit by it. Delta station. I did not figure out how to get there. That one cave entrance, seriously. I did three trips to the center island and I did not found a way to get to the radio tower until I searched from wiki where I can find a modification station. Cave with red crystals. Again I failed to connect the dots and missed completely how to get there. felt 2 hours just aimlessly looking every place I thought I haven't seached yet until I looked it up. Summing up: Aside from me being bad at videogames. Overall better game, in some aspects steps better, in other aspects strides better than the last one which I thought was one of the best games released in 2018.
  5. Below zero is pretty good.
  6. This thread inspired me to get an ergonomic mouse. Thanks @Buddy, how's that logitech partnership going along? I'll just add my 2 cents here. While I haven't suffered from strain from using a regular mouse. I do feel it now after I got used to the ergonomic one, which only tells me my wrist just got used being strained 24/7. I'm pretty certain this will save me from wrist related pain/injury in the long run.
  7. Awesome! Though I would hate to play against another player playing the hunter all the time. Just like playing Starcraft 2 1on1 or Chess, when it's only my mistakes that count. I just don't do it.
  8. I ordered Original Prusa MINI, got the upgraded version of that since it apparently had just been launched. So a pleasant surprise there. Took almost half a day to assemble and to calibrate correctly but once that's done it's been working perfectly.
  9. Got me a printer just not too long ago. It's amazing how good quality printer you can get nowadays for the price your paying for it. I can barely even notice the print pattern it does when I crank the print quality to max, manufacturer calls it an entry-level printer. They've gone a mile ahead since the early days.
  10. Hmm, yes. Patreon. Is this some kink game or something?
  11. Red Dead Redemption 2 - Finally got around to it this year, its simply the best thing ever. Half-Life: Alyx Death Stranding on PC - been a long time since a game made me shed a tear Animal Crossing Doom Eternal Cyberpunk 2077 - Absolutely stunning with ray tracing. I loved exploring Night City, the level of detail is just Just got Hades the other week for Switch, been great though not my cup of tea. I've yet to be able to beat it despite having almost maxed all my darkness upgrades.
  12. Been slowly finishing these massive open world games from my backlog.. until Death Stranding was released, then I had to finish that one too. Before going back to finishing Red dead and Origins. Feels weird to have spent more than half a year mostly playing just these three games. Its taken more or less close to 100 hours to a single play through and I've enjoyed every second of them. What an incredible bunch.
  13. Ah, I guess it just goes to show how difficult making games sometimes is. Bummer. At least we got this remake to look for. It still looks great regardless how bumpy the development has been this far.
  14. In my opinion this was the most solid VR game up to date in terms of depth and narrative. It felt like a solid single player campaing experience with no compromises. We need more of those.
  15. I hope this means next gen games will stay under 100 gigs in disk space if we don't need so much texture budget from now on. I hate owning multiple disks, and SSDs still aint cheap enough!
  16. I kinda liked Witcher 3 from the very start since I knew what was coming for me from the previous games so I really can't tell where it starts getting awesome. But once after you start knotting the threads of the bigger plot line it really starts to get you more invested in it. My friend also had the first impression of Witcher 3 of being not really his type of game but he said he really started to enjoy it after playing for a while. So I'd guess definitely once you get to the big city of Novigrad.
  17. Have you tried turning it off and on again?
  18. It's gonna get real cold and dark soon. Stay active and eat vitamins or you'll be miserable for the next 4 months when it's dark and you're freezing your balls off all the time. At least the snow is pretty once it stops melting and being slushy mess. Welcome!

    The random model thread!

It's part of the workflow max has, most, if not all of modifiers are non-destructible so that you can always come back to tweaking the starting values of that primitive where you started off. Though there are very few cases while modeling where you need to do that but it becomes much more handy when doing scenes with lots of repeatable stuff.
  20. Funny. I was fooling around in that same room yesterday. Not only the levels are just stuffed full of breakable objects the environment too has lots of breakable stuff, you can shoot chunks off almost anything. It's so goddamn pretty too with them raytraces.

    The random model thread!

Could you present your model some more? I can see only about 30% of it because of the picture angle and blur.
  22. I'd like to learn to love blender. Whenever I try, the polygon tools just doesn't seem to work for me. I'm too used to think how I would do things 3dsMax style. I get frustrated and quit and return to using max
  23. Good choice. Here's an Internet fist bump for Finland being "exotic"
