I'm not cutting on food. Hence i actually gained weight despite moving my ass :/ And quitting tobacco isn't so hard for me. It's not the first time.

So i stopped smoking one and a half weeks ago and started doing some exercise and walking because i got more and more fat recently and didn't feel good due to smoking and being fat. But not smoking i actualy gained more weight already, d'oh! And now even doing some easy exercise i feel like i'm getting carpal tunnel in my left hand, my fingers feeling numb. Same thing happend couple years ago when i did a bit of weight lifting. Wonder what i can do about that because it sucks and nowadays i actualy need my left hand due to job. Other then that i've started learning Modo this week but so far i've spent more time fighting with the interface and keyboard mappings then actualy modeling something.

I passed on the second one but if this is more like the first one then i'm in.

Android. The game Sentura recommended is nice. Gonna check out some of the others tomorrow.

So after years of refusal i have finaly upgraded to a smartphone last week. Are there any games that don't suck ass? I was looking through the app store and the games section is a cesspool of the highest order. Any games you can recommend? (flappy bird clones not appreciated)

I'm not much of a beer drinker anymore (or drinker in general). But my favourites always were Czech lagers/pilsners like Budweiser, Staropramen, Gambrinus, Krusovice, Litovel etc. As far as German beers goes my favourites are Rothaus Tannzäpfle, Köstritzer Schwarzbier and Zirndorfer Landbier.

So much stuff to learn! I'm not sure how much i'll push for digital painting any longer. Have a feeling i've hit a wall now that i could only climb if i spent way more time painting and being much more methodical about it. But i simply don't have that time. So i think i will focus more on stuff that is directly job related. The painting helped me to get really comfortable with the wacom and i learned some very useful stuff in PS that helps with texturing (for instance hand painting decent masks now feels easy peasy). My next step should be to get back into digital sculpting again. Haven't used zbrush for 2-3 years and last time never got really comfortable with it because using the pen felt so awkward and not being able to draw for shit wasn't helpful at all trying to sculp. Think that could be much different now if i give it another shot.

You gotta be fucking kidding me. As i see it VR will be something very sensitive to privacy. Ther's a camera involved, ppl gonna watch porn etc. I don't want that shit connected to FB and the NSA! And i don't want ads in my view or whatever crap they come up with. Way to hurt VR hype in its still fragile infancy!

Yea i'm not gonna buy Gigabyte again. Nice cards when they are new but just too frail in the long run. Had some similar problems with my card alongside failing fans. Got a MSI card now and am super happy with it. It's very sturdy (metal instead of cheap plastic parts) and the fans are even more quiet then Gigabyte's.

I'm really looking forward to it. I'm positive that it will be success this time around because the tech is so much better then in the last era of VR hype (early 90's) and will continue to get better over the next couple years. That's the strenght and weakness of it. I think it could become like a drug for people who want to escape from the real world, so a whole lot of people. Probably gonna be more niche then smartphones but lot of people will own a VR device and if it's only to watch porn. Don't think it can be compared with Virtualboy because ther's so much software and media already in development for it and it's not even out yet.

It's still better then working in a sweat shop or cleaning the pipes of the Mumbay sewer system. So can't complain too much.

Yea makes sense. I always make some adjustements before i publish the work. There are no textures in there (as in photo overlays). Texture is created by use of different brushes (some brushes might be textured tho) and blend modes. So i take that as a compliment. That spitpaints most of times don't feel finished is a given because of the 30 minute time contraints. Of course i could spent some more time afterwards but the 30 minutes fits well in with how how much time i'm willing to spent on painting every day (mostly do 1,2 spitpaints and another half hour just doodling something).

Not sure what exactly you mean by retouched. The whole thing is painted, no photos were used. I faked some chromatic abberation tho by moving the blue channel a liitle and used a filter for some film grain.

Couple new spitpaints. Gotta try and be more creative! Feels like i always paint the same shit in different colors

Some new paintings. I should really try to paint more people/characters but it's hard because it never was a subject matter that interested me much. At least i'm getting better at landscapes/skies. That's a start. Can try to go more to architecture and tech stuff from there which is job related.

To be clear i didn't hate on the guy. Just found it depressing that so much money can be made with something so simple and uncreative while talented guys/teams barely scrape by or break even. Old man yelling at clouds moment. The whole mobile thing is a mystery to me anyway and the economy behind these games blows my mind. Still don't have a smart phone. Went to a big family birthday party last night, my two nephews sit next to me, get out their smart phones and guess what they played... Flappybird. It's nuts. Honestly if i was in Nguyen's shoes i wouldn't give a shit what the haters say. Jackpot. Enjoy it!

We only need 1% of people hosting their own content to send them a message. Also you can start to be your own provider. I read some search on it and I might start to provide internet myself and host my own content. You don't need neither a powerful machine nor terabytes of space. Kinda missing the point. Your own hosted content will be put on the slow lane just as everything else where the isp's and their partners don't make an extra buck from.

Yeah, same in portugal. There's a specific organization that deals with this exact same of bullshit, no matter what scale. It's called "consumer protection association" and they already prevented and fixed a lot of shit like this. But again, no way this would even work in the USA, companies would bring it down easily and they would never let it become big enough to matter or to even cause any kind of ripple in this ocean of bullshit. Yea we have this in Germany aswell thank god. They stopped something similar from happening just recently or at least managed to postpone it. In the long run i think internet as we know it is doomed tho. This shit will just creep in bit by bit, two steps forward, one step back. Rinse and repeat. My only hope is that maybe some other technology will pop up that connects people in a less controlable and virtualy unlimited manner.
