So they stripped out all the comic book noir and now it's just another generic game with bullet time? This looks so much like Kayne & Lynch, this trailer has made me legitimately angry. They clumsily shoved the max payne soundtrack over it so people would have some sort of nostalgia attack, that's what is the most offensive thing about this.

Well as some people in the thread thought they were completely different areas and the game primarily takes place in a jungle...I'd say it's a big deal that there's foliage missing, yes. I'm not saying it's their fault or anything, I think the screens are more of a commentary on just how limiting the consoles are these days. Especially when most games are made for consoles and ported to PC.

Kind of... but no, not really.

What's there to be sorry about? the preview leak probably earned Eidos more pre-orders than any other piece of recent marketing. It's not like Crysis 2 at all

That's pretty hilarious, considering the shitstorm regarding Kayne and Lynch's review on gamespot. Joking aside, I remain completely unconvinced that this game is going to live up to the Hitman legacy. Hitman was in no way 'too difficult', the hand holding instinct stuff wouldn't look out of place in the new Deus Ex and the lack of original voice work is unsettling at best.

Still looks pretty awful, i was hoping they'd gone back to the drawing board once pretty much everyone rejected the game when they announced it years ago.

Hey guys. I've been working on a style test for what could become a point n'click adventure game on the AGS engine. It's the standard "Detective's Office" but I've tried to bring in some influences from the LucasArts games, Most notable would probably be Day of the Tentacle (and it's surrealist tendancy to throw perspective out of the window) and Sam & Max. I'm trying to get a lot of feedback early on, and I've already taken lots of advice and fixed certain things. But it's easy to start losing perspective once you work on something for a length of time. So really, Im just trying to get some feedback right now on the style. What do you like/dislike, and what could I do to improve? And additional shot with protagonist. Does he suit this style? http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/1612/office97mg3.jpg

I think I just hate the colour scheme (black red and white?) and overall blockiness of the website. Everything is so chunky and huge. It could be a lot smoother looking and streamlined in my opinion, and would help navigation. Just my opinions though

No Idea, E-freak. But the "Record Week 51" text may have something to do with it  More from Sydney Harbour: -

Yep, we did! As you can see though the weather was pretty abysmal that day, and soon afterwards our view of the blue mountains was completely engulfed in a storm cloud. Oh yeah, and I was very pleased to get the chance to see this last night. I very nearly missed the showing! -
That's pretty impressive. I mean, Version 3 was quiet an eye-sore but they've really outdone themselves this time in making me never want to visit their site ever again.

Looks like a Left 4 Dead map to me, Or possibly NMRiH.

I've remade a lot of the geometry (most noteworthy is the curvier ceiling) and made it a bit more interesting in places. Overall things are generally more detailed and less blocky. I've also been tweaking the lighting, but it's been difficult trying to find a good balance between too bright and too dark. Let me know whether you think this is heading in the right direction or not. I'm going to probably add something more interesting to the ceiling and extend the area a bit further, but this is what I've got so far:
-
It's mostly orange and yellow lighting, with a few red/blue lights where appropriate. But i agree that there needs to be some contrasting colours. I'm not sure what would go well together though.

A little something I'm experimenting with as Natural-Selection 2 draws closer:

The initial release was a total rush-job, which is what should have been avoided at all costs. After years of development there was some insane rush to polish up something that wasn't ready and throw it out of the door before deadline. Thankfully the mod still has actual potential, and the issues can be resolved with future patches. Fingers crossed they come early and often, although I'm going to take a big guess here and say that's exactly the opposite of what's going to happen. Sad to see it.

I can see what you're saying, but I haven't sharpened or blurred any of the photos. Original: http://blackmage.org/supernorn/photos/p ... C_0431.jpg The Rollercoaster is at Folkestone beach in Kent and is next to some kind of abandoned Arcade. The weather was wet and windy and pretty awful, and there were removal guys pulling the arcade apart when I got there, but I have more: -
Hey there I'm from the UK - and unfortunately live in the middle of nowhere, in a little place called Coulsdon. As you can imagine, this leads to extreme boredom - so I've decided to try my hand at photography. While wandering around Kent for a week, I purchased myself a Nikon D50 to keep me company. When it comes down to it, I really don't know what i'm doing, but I'd like to think I've got an eye for detail. These were taken in Kent and back home, so I'd like to share:

Ah damn, I didn't see this when I made a thread in Mod Recruitment. My bad guys.
