So long as you're very well aware how easy it is to delude oneself about a map's complexity.
I think we're all quite guilty of that. And remember that people learned the goldeneye maps because that's all they *had*. Your map does not have the benefit of official status so it has to be as immediately accessible and comprehensible as possible, and at the same time offering really interesting gameplay. I would rethink the corridors or at least learn their lesson when you go to plan your next map.
I also like to think that the general understanding of what makes for good, interesting multiplayer flow has evolved since goldeneye was out ;s

that sounds more like "i don't want to give an answer because i don't have a good one"
-
that's the kind of layout that people never really learn; they just run around through all the corridors waiting for somebody else to show up. :/
-
ooh and then you can use the prop models that have that same damaged concrete texture on them

gj dude. !

way to miss my bad joke

mmm i like that architecture.
you have some very, very strange texture use habits though.

there is a real sense of movement in that concept art--that wall is definitely progressing forward toward the camera, taking down buildings or anything else in its way. your wall looks like a static piece of architecture built in a funny shape.
it doesn't help that the textures are totally misaligned either, you've got seams everywhere and it doesn't make much sense. i'd ditch it altogether, the sea was much better and far more dramatic.

Ragnarok? i never played it, was it a good game?

Actually, i think mapcore has too many subforums that never get a post. Merge some of them would result in something much more active, something nicer ever.
Agreed. Having so many subforums is just kind of awkward imo, it adds a lot more layers and clicks to arrive at any content :/
Most of them have nothing going on and even the active subforums have topics on the first page dating back 2-3 months.
If it were up to me there'd be like four categories: General discussion, C&C/Pimpage, classifieds, and EOT.
but hey.

but... but... that's not the katamari way :/

when does this
go away and the mapcore logo come back? ~ -
i just wonder what the controls are going to be like.

what are your predictions for

yeah i'm firmly in the "keep her alive so we can fuck her to death" camp

hurts now and then when i get up in the morning.. i sleep soundly but in odd positions on a mattress that's a bit too firm. a good lumbar pillow or two will do wonders for your computer chair btw.

i really like this stuff. the mod's doing a very good job of bringing tfc in a modern direction.

I wasn't even planning on building a hl2dm map until a couple weeks before the deadline, when I figured I might as well see if I could whip something up. I did send in a layout-complete build to Valve but I recently heard there was some problem with the submission. Oh well, no matter.
Pretty much all the work since then has just been prettying it up and balance tweaking.

I just think you should know better than to directly ask that an admin name names. It's an anonymous vote and none of our business unless they want to come forward with their reasoning. I respect Irish for doing so despite his vote being the unpopular one.
btw I don't recall the details but I seem to recall that the husband *has* remarried, though I could be gravely mistaken since I haven't been following the story. Anyway that's none of my business.

yeah tell us who voted to keep her alive so we can crucify them
:/

Did anyone know about this?

i think these people are trying a little too hard to read between the lines so to speak.
if you reverse that sentence and find something meaningful i'll eat my hat. ;p
