I've always been a huge fan of the Tom Clancy games, so I'm psyched about EndWar and SC Conviction. Assassin's Creed is looking damn fine, as well.

Valve probably wont care, but afaik this violates many terms of service. In taking an asset from CZ and putting it in a mod for HL, you are allowing people who do not own CZ to access and use materials from a game they do not own. In a sense, you are distributing copyrighted material (albeit very small amounts) to people who may not own the game. I've had to deal with this matter before. I personally dont care one way or another, I'm just telling you how lawyers see it (US lawyers, that is). Valve most likely wont care, but there are other publishers/devs that are much more anal about this sort of thing.

thanks for the replies, all. I kinda figured it all depended on the job you were going for. The two interviews that got me both my jobs I dressed very casual (blue jeans and a t-shirt). I realize that all this suit talk is for getting a job at a big corporate place, but I only wanna work in the game industry

I would like an honest poll here. How many of you that currently have a job in the game industry in any position wore a suit to the interview that got you your job? I only ask because I have had two professional jobs in the web development industry, both of which hired me because of my portfolio rather than my willingness to wear a suit, but I'm being constantly hounded by my university professors that wearing a suit is mandatory to every job interview. I'm tired of hearing it from professors who are preparing me for a job as a cubicle code monkey. I want to hear it from people that actually work in the industry I'm trying to get into. My personal feeling is that if your company is shallow enough to the point where you're going to hire me based solely on my willingness to wear a suit, then I really dont want to work for you. Am I wrong to feel this way? (keep in mind that never at any point in my life do I want to work as a cubicle dweller for corporate america. I only plan on working in the game industry or as a college prof.)

um, subdivision surfaces? QFT. Polygonal calculations are much less taxing because thats all done via the graphics cards. Spline math is much more taxing because its all done via the cpu rather than being dumped on the graphics card because its an entirely different kind of math. Good luck with the mod, btw. sounds cool.

We started playing DEFCON between classes and Red Alert 2 between classes, as well as Guitar Hero I and II. All of them excellent games, but DEFCON is definitely the best.
