  1. yeah that second shot is fantastic.
  2. oh that worked out pretty well in the highlights actually. Very nice. A lot of extra saturation too.
  3. I feel like I'm actually seeing a different part of city 17 for once! Good job imo. I'm sure others will give you some better criticism to make it even sexier.
  4. haha. good enough sir. well here, try a few of these out. there is more than one way to create HDR images not including Photomatix. It's just the easiest. http://tutorialblog.org/hdr-tutorials-roundup/ That's a pretty cool shot sa74n. Can we see one without HDR processing? I'm interested in seeing how much of a benefit it had on that shot.
  5. those are HDR?
  6. thanks sa7an. In all shots where I used multiple exposures, yes, I used a tripod. Except the last one. I didn't have it along with me so I set my cam down on a wall and shot from there. It's possible to get better-than-normal dynamic range using a single exposure if you shoot RAW. you'll probably end up with a lot more noise depending on the composition, but it does usually work pretty well. Don't be afraid to post more HDR shots if you've got'em guys, this isn't "my" thread. I like what you've been posting and would love to see more.
  7. Photomatix takes like 5 minutes max if you include toying with the settings. I like to save them as 16-bit tiffs afterward and then edit them a bit in Photoshop. I think I'd like to try your method at least once though. I think in some cases manually "processing" HDR photos works better. I made this one a year or two ago. Not true HDR. I basically took two shots and cut out part of one shot to show the other image, but it's the same result i guess.
  8. Wow dude. That is.. a crazy workflow. Pretty nice results though. You should really see about getting photomatix. These were done with a single RAW as well. It works pretty well as long as you get a good base exposure, maybe a bit brighter than normal.
  9. That shot reminds me of this one. I like how the clouds obscure the peaks of the mountains.
  10. Wow. That's really awesome. I wish I could go out there. Maybe someday. Great pics, especially 09. Reminds me a lot of Ansel Adams.
  11. no one else has any HDR shots?
  12. reminds me a lot of the original Unreal. hotsauce.
  13. Everyone post your HDR images, as many as you like! Just get'em out there and let's see how good it can be. If you don't have any, take this as an opportunity to learn and show us your (good) results.
  14. Does anyone know how the COD4 engine renders? I checked the COD4 wiki page, but the info on the engine is fairly skimpy. Is it all real-time lighting or are there lightmaps involved? Just curious.
  15. Holy frick. That almost looks like it came out of 3ds or something. truly top-notch work.
  16. you might try http://www.dafont.com. lots of fonts there.
  17. North pole!
  18. nice dude! Great location and great pics. That fog really makes the outdoor shots. I wish I knew of a place like that around here. Very cool.
  19. Beautiful pics dude. Very nice work. Frost is one of my favorite subjects. Winter just rocks imo.
  20. I'll start. My brother just spent a semester in Japan and brought back some Japanese Saturn games he found (I love my Saturn and he knows it). Look at them and all their majesty!
  21. ew
  22. I'd agree. The only disappointing part was the clouds. It's not like they were bad or anything, they just didn't move much. But the storm effects were great. The fire was great. Everything was great imo... except the clouds.
  23. lol oh such harsh reality.
  24. I just watched that review last night. A friend of mine has been anxiously awaiting this expansion. I think he might be less anxious to get it now.

wow. that is freakishly similar. I probably would have thought that was fable had I not known otherwise.
