  1. @D3ads - I know, thats why i removed it for now, if i get time left over i will make that one on your picture since it looks better. @Warby - Thanks for you comments mate! I will try and get some other background when rendering the final model. I added a new render to my first post and the tris.
  2. Hello there! Enough stalking this forum for me and show something, even if it ain't super nice :> I'm going to a game development school in Falun Sweden where we have started to create our own character model for a task that stretches over a period of 3 weeks. I decided to make the Pyramid Head (also known as Red Pyramid) from the Silent Hill series. I think the PH character is interesting both what/who it is but also what function they have in the games. The first WIP renders are from the modeling part. Changed him a bit since the last render. *EDIT* Tris at ~3,3k Now when the model is completed we have moved onto UVW mapping and texturing. I just started today and this is my progress so far: Kinda dark render, used default lighting on this one. Tried using a Silent Hill backdrop on this new render, this one is from SH2.

  4. Actually only on the indoor area to see the things alot better, this is no serious project, its just a workbench for trying out the new engine and tools.

So when the Source SDK came out i just HAD to try it out, and so i did. http://toffe.kladdpapper.com/cs_wasteland.asp cs_wasteland shows the stuff that i have tried out so far wich includes a lot of things, including terrain making with displacement maps. I am currently working on the map and i just wanted to give you a little piece of what i am aiming for. The rocks will probably change alot, same with the not-even-made terrain instead of the flat sand brush Fix the 3d sky box and find out why ambient_generic plays the rain sound everywhere thought the flag has been ticked off. Last but not least, i want to thank PhilipK, andrew-, Velfolt and Frank_Desembler for commenting and testing the map out and gives me some ideas/suggestions wich makes me improve the map even more. When the first beta arrives, they will probably be the first to test it
