Not my kind of setting, but since I liked The witcher 2 so much I give it a chance anyway.

Looks like the work in progress is gone and since its not released I'll put it here. I have been working the past 3 years on a Unity3D based game called ballitis. Its on steam greenlight now and here is a gameplay video. And a earlyer video.

And its our top selling product!

ITT: Post maps/scenes that never saw the light of the day.
Bluestrike replied to Minos's topic in Level Design
The last 2 maps are ins_escort, a map for a new gamemode for insurgency I wanted to do but never came around. The construction site was for Tactical Intervention, not sure if what happened to it, last time I saw it , it was carved full of holes and I have no idea if it made it to the mobile version of the game actually. May al well also mention the other screens are from a game called Deep6. -

And plenty of other stuff in less far state of development but no screenies online. -
Exacly how I see it too

Its everything I expected from it and enjoying it. Had to turn off the crappy post process effects that made it look all to blurry and a goofed distance view, like I have too in so many other games. Ofcourse there is some WTF stuff like a load screen every level change that seems to be there just to show the plyer some tips and only 2 weapons at a time.

Installing, looks like I won't get much work done today

Just coincidence but one of his former bodyguards was interviewed the day before by a Belgian and he said it was their job to kill Osama if the Americans were about to capture him. What makes me conclude thats probably exacly what happened. Anyway its about time, the Brittisch had a shot already but were called back because it had to be done by the Americans themselves :-) Good for Obama, his popularity will get another boost.

Finnished it, says 4.5 hours on my profile page but I guess their server has ben down for a while or someting because I think it took me around 7 hours. Did some sightseeing as well just to see how they did things and looking at the animations on the screens around the elevators so it wasn't a rush playtrough, I just had little trouble finnishing the puzzles and never had to give up and try again later with a fresh mind :-) I think people who did not play the orriginal will have it a little bit tougher. Humor was great , duration was shorter as I hoped for but the levels look amazing. Just too bad I can't try out the coop. I was missing the sound of footsteps, could hear them on glass tough.

My first impressions? Played as a Rogue and combat felt pretty cool and playing as a mage is probably not the big advantage it was in DA. Textures on characters look improved. Cons: I got a bunch of loading interuptions during the ingame cinematics. Menu's clearly have been done with consoles in mind. I hope the game isn't going to be too linear.

I have always been a fan of Steam, but now they are too big and I don't like how steamworks is done. things like chat, achievements and server lists should not be tied to a store application. So I try to support Stardock's impulse::Reactor instead as they offer a solution that gives you all the same stuff without ties to a store page. (as steamworks should have been if Valve really were such nice guys) Thats not really Valve, but the publishers demanding it or you get the "not availeble in your region" stuff like it was in the past. I can understand it a bit, as long as they are not going to charge more for EU users if the dollar value goes ever above the euro again

I suspect Gearbox finishing DNF (with 3D Realms keeping an eye?) was part of an agreement to resolve the issues between 2K and 3D Realms instead of fighting it out in court. Can't wait for the reviews an even if its not that good, I probebly buy it anyway out of nostalgic feelings.

I do not believe in a afterlife, if there is a heaven/hell that must be some overcrowded place by now. The universe is the ultimate recycler tough, so reincarnation might just work, after all the universe is a big place. And sometimes I believe that whatever you believe is what you will expirience in the last second of your life But the most simple awnser is usualy right and that means there is nothing after death besides what you leave behind (children). Do I fear death? No as long as its quick, but thats only because I don't really have anything to live for at this moment.

Thats a mouse? I would rather guess some kind of helmet for a police bike patrol :-P

Another game that is somehow not able to deliver any review code before release.

I think it skips entering payment info once you make one succesful purchase (atleast for me). Register a fresh account and try to gift something to your own account, then you will know if its account or cc issue or whatever. It still goes to a confirmation page (where you can also shoose to edit the payment information) and not the steam store. I once had such email but it was phishing spam.

Great news as I didn't even know there was a new season comming :-)

Weird, if I want to see those pop up screens I have to launch and exit a steam game first.

The way I made HL2:Awakening, I just had some general idea's for landmark locations and a rough story. Then winged it pretty much all together as I went forward and filled in the blanks: - Filling in the puzzles as I made them up during playtests. - Connecting the levels. - Add Enemies where I see fit. - Even using one of my multiplayer maps to save time. - Lots of testing and iterations. And eventually cutting some planned levels because it was taking to long to get everything done :-)
