  1. its pretty funny how most people that read the debate.. think dubya did better.. or listened to it even... i guess the polls show people prefer style over substance... maybe we deserve john "hanoi" kerry...

    his dnc speech

You see that flag up there. We call her Old Glory. The stars and stripes forever. I fought under that flag, as did so many of you here and all across our country. That flag flew from the gun turret right behind my head. It was shot through and through and tattered, but it never ceased to wave in the wind. It draped the caskets of men I served with and friends I grew up with. For us, that flag is the most powerful symbol of who we are and what we believe in. Our strength. Our diversity. Our love of country. All that makes America both great and good.

    or.. maybe not...

  2. And it's bad preemptive; like a war on a country that's no real threat that causes more turmoil than there was previously.

"We know we can't count on the French. We know we can't count on the Russians," said Mr. Kerry. "We know that Iraq is a danger to the United States, and we reserve the right to take pre-emptive action whenever we feel it's in our national interest." -John Kerry 1997

"Those who doubted whether Iraq or the world would be better off without Saddam Hussein and those who believe today that we are not safer with his capture don't have the judgment to be president or the credibility to be elected president." -John Kerry 12/20/03

"Iraq may not be the war on terror itself, but it is critical to the outcome of the war on terror, and therefore any advance in Iraq is an advance forward in that and I disagree with the Governor [Howard Dean]." -John Kerry, 12/15/03

"I would disagree with John McCain that it’s the actual weapons of mass destruction he may use against us, it’s what he may do in another invasion of Kuwait or in a miscalculation about the Kurds or a miscalculation about Iran or particularly Israel. Those are the things that - that I think present the greatest danger. He may even miscalculate and slide these weapons off to terrorist groups to invite them to be a surrogate to use them against the United States. It’s the miscalculation that poses the greatest threat." -John Kerry, "Face The Nation", 9/15/02

"It would be naive to the point of grave danger not to believe that, left to his own devices, Saddam Hussein will provoke, misjudge, or stumble into a future, more dangerous confrontation with the civilized world....He has supported and harbored terrorist groups, particularly radical Palestinian groups such as Abu Nidal, and he has given money to families of suicide murderers in Israel. ...We should not go to war because these things are in his past, but we should be prepared to go to war because of what they tell us about the future." -John Kerry 10/9/02

"I agree completely with this Administration’s goal of a regime change in Iraq - Saddam Hussein is a renegade and outlaw who turned his back on the tough conditions of his surrender put in place by the United Nations in 1991." -John Kerry, 7/29/02

"George, I said at the time I would have preferred if we had given diplomacy a greater opportunity, but I think it was the right decision to disarm Saddam Hussein, and when the President made the decision, I supported him, and I support the fact that we did disarm him." -- John Kerry, Democratic Debate, 5/3/03

  3. Wasn't that hella boring? I feel like I should get a purple heart just for watching it.

lol.. debate drinking game.. now thats an idea.. oh well.. couldnt of last night.. (work+drinking=bad) but that aside..

i was sooo disapointed in bush, he had so many chances to really bring it to kerry, about his voting record and his stances on issues... but he had the deer in a headlight look that he does so well

and i cant stand this elitest crap coming from kerry... instead of talking about what hes going to do.. he kept going on and on and on and on...ect about what he WOULD HAVE DONE (being a monday night quarterback is so easy)... i agree.. we all are dumber for watching/listening to it :/

one thing really got to me... this may not be a big thing for most americans.. but it really got to me

"I also intend to double the number of special forces so that we can do the job we need to do with respect fighting the terrorists around the world. And if we do that, then we have the ability to be able to respond more rapidly."

now we dont let just everyone in to the Rangers/Seals/Delta... those are "elite" groups... this aint the special ed forces...

it is not that there is not enough people are trying to get in.. its not enough people qualify to get in...

oh well.. i wanna see darth cheney tear in to wonder boy edwards... in round 2 :)
