Everyone else was wrong too so it's forgivable? Zuh? Your path of logic is skewed. -
The stats thing actually sounds pretty neat.

look at the site. Same guns as CS, same realism feel, just happens to be in a jungle. Come on, I just wish people will vary up the guns a little at least is all. Oh boy! Another mp5! I hope it fires the same as the last 400 I'ved played with :-? I mean, good luck and all, but cripes, I'd kill for a little originality in the mod scene.

First you say you don't know if there's evidence against them, then you label them murderers. Now, I'm not saying they're all innocent, far from it. They got picked up for a reason, now, was it so grievous a reason to take away years of their lives? That's the question. If we are to promote peace, justice and the American Way we must stick to our guns on our policies and be a beacon for the world to look to. Not dropping our rules of justice whenever they see fit. Such lapses in judgement only make our nation as a whole look guilty and powerhungry. It takes from the whole image we'd want to put forth, of a benevolent force, there for the common good, and thwarting the real terrorists and murderers. Label them POWs if you wanna hold them 'til the end of all of this, but that involves admitting that this really is a war, and actually declaring war in the first place. That's a whole 'nother can of worms though. -

There, much better. That's all I was asking for, reasonable, intelligent debate. True it is an unconvential war, however it seems that you tiptoe around the main issue that is the focus of this article. The ones that are being detained indefinitely have no charges brought against them, they're held because they lack evidence. If they're just prisoners of war, they should just cut through the politic bullshit tape and call them such. That's fine, and there are rules for that as well. However, this isn't a nation we're fighting, this is a multi-national cause that, much like the "Drug War" has no viable, or immediate end in sight. In wars, the prisoners are eventually let go after the battles are done and the dust has settled, but to think that this "War on Terror" will end within my lifetime, let alone within the span of 10 years is nearly laughable. If we are to become a beacon of justice, freedom and proof against the backlash of Anti-Americanism that's sprung up around the globe, the best way to do this is to maintain our idealized stance on justice and freedom. Not just for our own people, but for all. We are the last super power, and much like the Roman Empire was nothing more than Italy with a lot of trade contracts, we are no different. We essentially "rule" the world, and to maintain that rule we must lead by example, not by stooping to their level or compromising our values. -

Fact/anecdote and source of what? If your evil, justice is that you have no freedom. What in that sentence could possibly need a verification? So...guilty until proven innocent eh? -

Wow you're a fucking moron. I know no flames, but man you're a moron Duffy. Just remember what you said about it not effecting you, and it not mattering. I'm gonna bring this up whenever you mention a bunch of red-state crap about abortion (you're a male, doesn't effect you) and gay-marriage (you're not gay, nor married, doesn't effect you). PS: thanks for not contributing and shitting up the thread. Instead of cryptic bullshit, howabout supporting your claims with some facts, an anecdote perhaps or say a decent source. -

Sing better after their voices have been coaxed, washed and handled by dozens of computers. I feel sorry for anyone that likes Evanescence and sees them live, that chick can't carry a tune worth a damn. Hits one note, carries it for the whole song. -
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=s ... ity_usa_dc I'd like to see someone defend this course of action. Aren't we supposed to be this shining example to the world about justice and freedom, and yet, we just find a loophole of jurisdiction to completely fuck over the entire lives of a group of people because of lack of evidence, not because they're guilty, but because we can't pin them as such. Before some asshat points out "dahhhh, they's suspected terrists!' I'll make it known that yes, I know this, and they were arrested probably for a reason, but nevertheless they are due the same justice system as us all if we, as a nation, are holding them. To claim to be morally superior and then suddenly take the low road is pretty damned hypocritical.

Very good, but remove whatever layer you're using on the skins to give them a "fuzzy" or "noisy" look. Paint is smooth, use bumpmaps or spec to give the paint/metal the right look.

Nearly Half in U.S. Say Restrict Muslims
The Postman replied to Pericolos0's topic in Political Discussion
I have an idea, they could all wear little patches or badges to signify what group they're a part of and perhaps we could herd them into one area so that we could more easily keep an eye on them and hey, while we're at it, put them to work for the war effort - they should learn a trade - and their pay will be room and board. /sarcasm This is saddening. -

Pulled all nighters while working on James Bond: Nightfire. Josh Jeffcoat at Gearbox remembers. We went and bought juice and food for breakfast at like 7am. It was ridiculous. He was mapping and I think I was translating text on textures into Spanish and Italian.

Tanks on the streets of Los Angeles, CA?
The Postman replied to The Postman's topic in Political Discussion
Did I say he didn't win? Ugh... moving on. Have I ever claimed to like Michael Moore's rhetoric? Yes, please, keep putting words in my mouth, or on my keyboard, as it were. To deny that those two non-issues played a huge roll in this election is just simple and blind. The other issue, would be the feeling that we "shouldn't switch horses in the middle of a race." But that's a little more esoteric and wasn't covered nearly as much as, I dunno, the whole ammendment against gays marrying. Can I get that huge barfing rolleyes animation for DD missing the point of a well-used and well-traveled analogy? Next time I'll use a baker and a bakery for the analogy and it'll still ring true. Jolly good try though. Oh and for further information, you should know that later articles had the soldiers giving the protesters thumbs up and shouting their support until several rabid idiots starting slinging insults like "babykillers!" at them. My point on the "Good German" analogy rests in a void, pinning itself to any situation in which a worker is not obligated to follow his leader, nor is he wholly absent from the responsibility his leader thrust upon him. As per the 1st Ammendment meaning jackshit on the internet, that depends where you go. As for this forums section? It matters. I think Walter's expression says it all: -

Gee whiz, where to begin... where do the people of our republic come off thinking they have a voice in whether we go to war or not? Take a lesson in how our country operates, last I checked, we're very open to everyone's opinions, it's the reason that both PETA and the American Nazi Party still operate. We might disagree with them, but they're still allowed to talk. How did Bush win? Last I checked it was a very close election, he won by 51% meaning that just short of half of this country disagreed with his leading our nation. Why else did he win? He pushed non-issues that incensed the right and those with Christian "values." Namely, abortion and gay marriage. Neither of which effect the domestic or foreign policies or outlook of our nation, yet many conservatives cling to with pitbull like tenacity. Your "just following orders" notion works both ways. Just like the "good German" excuse for the guy that engineered the trains to the death camps of Auschwitz, he was just following orders and just doing his job. While he might not be directly responsible for the actions, he still took part and had the option to say no, albeit with consequences. That said, you really need to educate yourself on the issues and politics on the whole. I suggest reading books from both the left and the right or even some independent sources before yammering on about slapping people. -
Separation of Church and State vs. History
The Postman replied to Urban's topic in Political Discussion
A pity that Mawibse's statement was a thin and poorly used strawman argument. Saying that Hitler is quite wicked and ergo should be removed from teaching is just idiotic at best. That would be removing something from the curriculum because the actions perpetrated by the individual were heinous, however the teacher removing the references to God is just overzealous seperation of church and state. The teacher that asked to remove the constitutional teachings is a fucking moron, but for different reasons. There are references to God in the Constitution, but it's quite important to remember that most of the founding fathers were Deists and not Christians in the sense that we apply today. They perhaps paid lipservice, but on the whole there is much evidence to the contrary. -
Sorry hoss, the Nazis ruined that little symbol of eternity and peace for everyone.
