  1. gg sharpen filter. Still looks very nice, just stay away from that cesspit that is hl2world.

    dm_platform

Now think up some abstract name... 'platform' is...
  3. Looks amazing, as always. I'm loving that wide open area in the 3rd pic.
  4. Needs more cows.
  5. My first with my intuos3 a few weeks ago...
  6. Yeah, but the server I was playing on last night started losing it when there were two of us in the mattress room shooting them at each other.
  7. And FFS, read the SSDK doc guide on phys_ props, don't DARE putting that many prop_ragdolls in the map unless you plan on KILLING the server.
  8. Brushwork / architecture and lighting need some work. I also don't like the drab of the colors one bit, it needs more life. You should continue work on it, it just needs alot of tweaking.
  9. Signed up for Audioscrobbler about a week and a half ago, glad to see you guys use it as well. my profile~ http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/xempest
  10. The third one there is done with point_spotlight.
  11. Great to hear. I'm sure the mod will be just as fresh on a more modern engine, like Source.
  12. Inconsistent theme there, dude.
  13. One of the worst scare-me flash movies I've seen.
  14. Private, pre-arranged playtests would be a great addition to mapcore. Organizing playtests could be as elaborate as an entire forum section devoted to scheduling playtests, (where mappers could post a possible play time and server), to a simple, quick ask around on IRC. Playtests comprised solely of other level designers would certainly help out to balance out the gameplay of an upcoming map.
  15. I went ahead and ported iceworld to HL2DM, just to get it out WITH the mapcore URL on it. Wrote it in a pixel-font with brushwork flat on a wall, after an attempt with alpha painting didn't render properly in-game... Not to mention the bloated filesize it created. (It's about 700kb now.) You know how much iceworld gets around, and having http://www.mapcore.net tagged on it isn't a bad thing. (At least I would hope) I've been hosting a dedi server for about a day and a half now, and about 900 unique users have connected, downloaded it, and left cause of my horrible connection.
  16. You REALLY need to get some proper normal shading on that cube there...

    Half-Life 2

I found this to sum things up pretty well. Some stuff is really speculatory, but it gives a good run of things nonetheless. Spoiling-Link~ http://members.shaw.ca/storage_4/hl2story/

    CSS-Assault

Your assault remake will be better as long as you don't completely whore it out with worthless hl2world banners.
  19. Slicky wins.

    Totally RIPS OFF PAINKILLER~
  21. http://img37.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img37&im ... ap0014.jpg I love how this screen is lit, very cool.
  22. Glad to hear they selected Painkiller. Great game, beautiful level design, and an excellent engine. Hopefully this will revive it's almost-dormant multiplayer mode.
  23. a set of goofing-around screenshots~ http://xem.images.home.comcast.net/
