Very awesome, just tried it. The nuclear blast sequence had me gasping in awe for a while, some very nice scripting all around.
Runs great in HL2: DM, when running it in HL2 the physics of course were much more accurate, but the reset button against the tree made my computer lock up. HL2: DM's multiplayer physics make everything a lot more bearable on the CPU it seems.

Puzzle Quest on DS, I can't praise this game enough. It's simply
the best DS game evar. I think I haven't been so addicted to a game
since Diablo 2.
Right there with you mate. Am playing Puzzle Quest to death on my DS, although the PC version looks pretty good as well. Also going through Final Fantasy 3 and Pokémon Diamond on the DS, great games.

That second ending (well I don't think its a real ending) might have been because you didn't get inside the Chernobyl power plant before the timer ran out (which starts when you come near it).
The only real endings in the game are the five you get at the wishmaker, which gets you a different ending based on how you played the game (good or evil, rich, etc...) the other two endings are at the C-Conciousness which is based on whether you join it or shoot it.

I took a look at an old "teaser" from the film, like the game the movie feels very atmospheric, the scenery seem well done. But most of the teaser was the three men riding a small cart on a railway, just filming their heads looking around for 5 minutes. Not the kind of movie most of us are used to these days, but its an old movie and I'm quite anxious to check it out.

Beautiful map Albatros, some minor things that annoy me (like on the bridge, the small bits of railing between the stone triangles.
But hey, its WIP and it looks gorgeous.

seriusly wtf was wrong with the end?
"wtf tha was tha worst pimp. rappa come here! come closa.. I knizzay you have waited long time.. yo gizzle is here.." this stupid russian voice talked to me over and over!
"why do u stand there? come in!"
rofl!!
wtf was that? you know what I'm sayin?
I tought the game hacked but It didn't.. I understood it should be so.. I entered the blue ice thing and then suddenly money start raining gold coins inside the factory reactor complex map?
How many fingers am I holding up?

Daggerfall
Loved that game to death when I was a kiddo.

In the beta versions of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. all the weapon sounds were ripped straight from Counter-Strike. Its been known they've tend to use material from other games, maybe they overlooked this, they figured noone would find out, or you don't work at their studios and don't know they might have had permission from ID Software to use these.

Yeah, played through this game last year or so, loved it. The spooky atmosphere around it is great, but some of the boss fights were utterly annoying. I mainly loved how the weapons were worked out. In games you always have so much ammo and carry five thousand guns with you. In this game you have to worry about ammo, and I remember having to check the clip for how much ammo was left in it (I think it was in this game), bandage yourself, etc... very real life.
Very recommendable!

Graphics wise the game equals with WoW. The only thing that puts me off is that Blizzard has (in my opinion) a whole lot more experience with these sort of games. Which leaves me with that "I'll try it out but I don't think it will be that big of a deal" feeling. And frankly being an avid MMO player, I haven't seen many MMO games that have gone to beta or released since WoW came out that has the same level of quality and vastness as WoW (the new LoTR MMO for example, which copied a lot from WoW but still fails to deliver).
Might seem like a little biased post, but what can you expect. WoW owns the MMO market. And yeah, the article does say very little about the game itself.

I followed the same tutorial for that office chair when I first started out with 3D modeling, it wins.
Chair is looking good so far.

Aren't all those textures a little bit... blurry to be properly used?
-
Are you running that in software mode? Either that or you need to get those textures in a higher resolution.

Someone alert shacknews and gamespot!!
To the press!

Yeah, it kind of seems like if your playing the single player storyline, at certain points or throughout the entire game it would cross with other players playing through their single player storyline. Maybe everyone has the same goals, maybe goals change based on decisions you make at the start which gives a variety on gameplay and interaction with other players when you cross.
Sounds pretty damn interesting to me at any rate.

I'm playing through Trespasser again.

Looks awesome, loved the first one and this one looks even better. I'm kind of glad its not Source too, been dying to get some HL nostalgia going.
Killertomato: Gahh, your signature keeps creeping the fuck out of me.

Its a single player action / FPS RPG, not an MMO. Don't fret.

I got it for the X-Box when it first came out, then later got it plus the expansion for the PC and played through that. I really love the game, very atmospheric and although incredibly linear for a game of the sort, a lot of fun to play.

Splinter Cell 1, 2 & 3
Gothic 1, 2 & 3
Am already through Splinter Cell 1 and halfway through Gothic 1. Quality games.

Looks sexy mate, though I would remove or replace the handrailings on the upper platforms. Looks a bit out of place...
Loving those lights. Although the red one looks a bit out of place as well.

They are cinematic physics, a sort of physics that is mainly calculated during the compile of the map, which takes off a lot of CPU strain in-game. Of course they won't be as dynamic as real physics.

Right click the props and go into the properties, then toggle the disable shadows in that window.

Not with 90% of the models and textures in that shot belonging to James O'Hare and Project Hull-Breach.
Funny.
