  4. Congrats Furyo! Tbh, i assume this wasn't a contest about who's map was the best, it was a contest of who can flood his map most allover the INTERNET. Dunno if your map actually was the best one, but probably almost no one here checked the other maps before voting yours. Seems kinda odd idea to decide winner like this when it's about nice bunch of money Now don't get me wrong here, probably lot of guys did the same thing, so.. well done

  12. The explosion looks pretty nice but i can't see shit from those 2 interior shots, especially the first one of them is soooo dark. Maybe they're ment to be that way tho, nice feeling in it
  13. Looks ~neato, as always! You wont have any driveable vehicles, or have i heard wrong? Like few others - this sentence kinda made me mad, "300,000 american troops not greeted as liberators but as invaders". Maybe the words could've been chosen differently or maybe i misunderstood it, to me it sounds like some bitter american wrote it

I haven't done normal, specular or opacity maps before on models tho, i can't either figure out why such a lowpoly model would need spec or normal map (except for practise purpose), model would be used on old engine with no such capabilities, so it's kinda pointeless doing them.. right?

Maybe i'll update this one day, i've had enough of it for now PhilipK made them, i believe they're just fine, maybe they got screwed up when i added contrast with ps or when i saved it as jpg Well yeah, i was supposed to model mosque and that kinda stuff there but like i said, run out of time. Iraq looks kinda boring tho, at least lot of places of sadr city is just boring as shit

  20. Actually, there's one dead body at the stairs, can't be seen from the shots tho! I'll post the final shots later tonight or tomorrow, they have bugs in them and i was too lazy to add proper cubemaps, which is lame. I'm just too tired to add anything to it at this point. I also edited the shots a bit with with photoshop, gave them some contrast, which is imo acceptable since this isn't a map, just a scenery for few screenshots and blablablablah.. blabla, bla.. ..bleh
  21. Yeah, someone mentioned on irc that it looks just like some map from BF2, and it even has a bus in it kinda same way. Oh well..
  22. Update. Changed lightmap scale on the ground to 4 and fixed bunch of stuff. Compile took like 45min or so. Still to add cubemaps, which i've never done before either.
  23. Yeah well, at this point i decided to test those lower lightmap scales, i think i'm getting kinda close of the final version.. or not. Anyway, i believe this was my mistake, looks like it's going a lot faster now. For some reason i didn't turn several objects into func_detail, i had just grouped them so i thought they were func_detailed, stupid me.
  24. There's no window there I've added some stuff now + added the bus. How long rad should take to compile if lightmaps on most of the ground were scaled down to 2 or 4? Rad has been compiling for like 2,5 hours now, seems kinda odd and i'm getting kinda tired waiting for it to finish Thanks for the feedback and suggestions!
  25. Yeh, i assume it's pretty quick thing to do, or? Has to work pretty much with the first try, can't get stuck with anything at this point. I'll try to get the bus and props + other details for tonight's compile, feedback and suggestions are still more than welcome
