Am I misinterpreting this, or do they not play with all these characters simultaneously? I assumed that's why there're multiple monitors and so many separate machines (as supposed to just using partitions of a single machine, or even logins).

I take gaming seriously, but I don't buy dozens of computers and copies of one game. That's going well over the line between 'serious' and 'excessive'.

The electricity bill alone must be epic.

It is possible that they play all five characters at once. On my server there was a mage and priest named Kristin and Kirsten or something like that. The priest would always just heal the mage and they were quite hard to kill. Five characters is a lot more to control than two, but some people have really good multi-tasking skills. With the right programs and keyboards/gamepads, he could control all of them at once.

5 Warlord characters.........

I had one Field Marshal character (same thing just alliance side) and I wanted to pull my hair out during that grind.

Did you play it much? I went into BF2142 equally as sceptically, but after I got a few ranks into it I realised that they've evolved the gameplay on pretty much every front and as a result it's more lastingly fun.

I seriously find it difficult to point at any one element of BF2 and not think BF2142 does it better. It doesn't even seem that rushed to me, other than the fact that it's graphically very similar (but if you look at Vietnam and 1942, you'll realise the evolutions between those and BF2 were equally as small).

Of course, 2142 would basically be nothing without its unlock system. About 40 unlocks, makes it almost like PlanetSide as far as customisation goes.

I suppose if you just have an inherent obsession with modern warfare and don't like the futuristic stuff then that's fair enough. I just can't see how anyone could not think the gameplay is much better, though. It absolutely eclipses BF2's in my opinion and generally feels more focused and exciting for infantry, and I loved/played BF2 to death.

PVP in WoW is not 100% gear. I can strip completely naked and still beat people. Also, if you spend a whole day in a raid, ouch.

WoW was good about a year ago. Ever since the expansion was released it has taken a dive for the worse.

my best crit was 1800, with arcane power and it was a pyroblast. and pyroblast is a 6 second cast. i respecced to 21 arc 30 fire now and i have gotten pyroblast crits up to 1700, so i bet i could get 2k if i respecced back to 31 arcane 20 fire.

i was exaggerating, but still, aimed shot crits for so much.

Blender: Pffftt... Playing a hunter takes A LOT OF micromanagement in the heat of battle to squeeze him/her up there where he is a threat to be reckoned with...

yeah, its a lot of micromanagement to just aimed shot crit for 8000 then scatter shot and multi shot

ive got a 60 human mage and a 19 night elf rogue im twinking out.

and hunters are so overpowered.

man this game is awesome. the dark brotherhood/black hand quests are the most fun quests ever in any game. i love being a ninja.
