  1. lol -

After Kojima finished off his technical demonstration, Kojima explained why he decided to age his characters. "Old characters are better because their wrinkles can be used to show the rendering capabilities of the PS3," he said. "Young characters have silky skin, so it's not as challenging."

that's a really good reason to advance a plot.

There's no chance he was joking, huh?

  2. All I can say about this is...WHY?

Do you even have to ask why? I mean, If I had the money I'd buy every game related thing out there, I have the Warcraft figures, books, boardgames, rpg books EVERYTHING, but I'd want the UT2k3 figures too, and the Starcraft figures and books, I'd love nothing more than just to collect cool stuff.

All I can say about this is...WHY?
  3. heh anyway, instead of that graphic stuff there's something that every fanboy like me must wonder about.

Snake looks really cranky ass now, but if you make the comparaison with otakon who doesn't look really old :

    and in mgs2 :

    mgs1.jpg

so is that really snake ? or anoher clone bastard coming out from space ? :???:

Well, if you look at those MGS2 pictures, Otacon could be 25 years old and Snake something like 40. So if MGS4 is for example 15 years later, both look pretty much as old as what they would be.

The MGS world, however, is pretty odd so you never know what has happened to Snake. Side effects of FoxDie or cloning, perhaps??

  4. U guys are all blind. Its obviously pre rendered. I know mgs looks good, but if u ever played any mgs game u will remember its filled with pre-rendered scenes occuring during the action, and the actual gameplay graphics are less detailed versions of these scenes. Or are we talking about another kind of "pre-rendered scenes"? I played thru mgs2, and it was absolutely flabbergastingly filled with them.

Did you read the GameSpot article at all?? Please do before you make a fool of yourself.

  5. Quite nice and pretty much what I expected. The fight scenes were spectacular.

I just couldn't help smiling when Tifa was fighting one of the three gang members in the church and a modified version of the FFVII fight theme was playing in the background.

  6. But I'm just bit curious, from the moment they announced that revolution can play old nes, snes, n64 and GC games I was thinking, if the controller is revolutionary, which means that you have to use your whole body to control revolution games, how would that control scheme translate to old games with a pad, would I have to wave my left arm to "run" on super mario and at the sama time twist my face to jump and wiggle my leg to duck?

Or you could turn the controller 90 degrees to the left and voila, you have a NES controller.
