I think I've seen all my movies atleast 5 times, excluding Schindler's List (3 times) even though it's the best movie ever made, IMO.

I buy great films that I want to watch more than once. The only real reason to buy DVDs...

And fifteen years ago we asked: why would you need 5GBs?

I like the first one.

If you have questions about derivatives and integrals, just ask me. They're my speciality.

Almost every single good deed is a selfish one. Just think about it.

Hello, Best Picture/Direction Oscar nomination! http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/munich/
-
Exactly. A teacher in high school once said that people our age (16 back then) shouldn't have opinions about certain things. Ofcourse he was laughed at and called crazy, but I understand what he meant.
-
Yes, yes... but I didn't accuse you of preaching at my door either. Some people preach, and some hate it. Some say non-believers are weak without Jesus and some say the opposite.
-
And most of us haven't said that you're weak. But I think the biggest reason why non-believers don't like religion is because it's crammed at our faces all the time like some sort of propaganda.
-
TWICE there have been people at my door preaching about God and when I've told them I don't believe in God they litterally pat me in the back and say "you poor thing". The next thing they've seen is a door being slammed shut in front of their faces. It's not like you believers are any better than the rest of us either...

Hello, visual effects Oscar nomination! Check out the new trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/king_kong/ The game was reviewed in one of our most respected gaming magazines and got 92% and 90% from another reviewer...

You haven't experienced it so you can't say anything about this. I didn't personally change much, but I saw A LOT of growth in others' personalities. People are the sum of their experiences and the army is one hell of an experience. I agree, it might be a hell of an experience, and I agree that people are the sum of it's parts, but I just can't agree that when one goes to the army he all of a sudden becomes a better person, or worse person. I didn't say everyone changes and I didn't say you become a better/worse person, but some do change. These changes aren't necessarily noticable to you.

This usually happens on page 2 in every mapcore thread.

You can't compare donating money to charity with boycotting the army. Both charity and the army are ultimately for a good cause, atleast here in Finland. The army is not for war, it's for defence and security. (NOTE: atleast in Finland). What I'm trying to say is that boycotting the army won't do any good to anyone. You haven't experienced it so you can't say anything about this. I didn't personally change much, but I saw A LOT of growth in others' personalities. People are the sum of their experiences and the army is one hell of an experience. Please don't be so narrowminded. It's narrowminded to think that army changes you in someway. No, for many people it's a fact.
-
Because you weren't in the army doesn't change anything and people don't pay any less taxes. You might as well experience what you are paying for. Some of the memories I have from my time in the army are priceless. The good thing about the army is that it really makes many people mentally tougher (also physically, but that's less important) and they become more responsible individuals. Please don't be so narrowminded.
-
You missed an experience of a lifetime. I didn't find the army to be a very violent place. Sure they teach you how to shoot and fight but you don't do those things to others. Shooting at some targets and punching some bags is no worse than killing people in video games. Totally harmless. So pacifists that don't go to the army for that reason and still play violent games are, to some extent, hypocrates (IMO). Maybe my view is a bit black and white at the moment. I need to meditate on this.

Note, that I specifically meant that YOU are the subject to torture. You changing your mind now? Still think it would be ok?
-
What if you were innocent and tortured because someone thought you had information that could save people? You'd still think it's ok? I don't believe you. Or perhaps you can't imagine well enough what it would be like...
