Thanks, well.. i wouldnt say that i just started mapping, but i just started using Valve hammer and mapping for HL2. =) so, i DO have some HL1 Quark mapping experience.

Yeah, hehe. You arent dumb. Good. The gas station, more light on the "northern petrol" sign, fixed some textures and small stuff. Gas station again. Parking building, all new textures, light fixes, minor stuff. Will get smoother later Parking building again. It does look much better now, i just need to add details, and smoothen some corners. No comment.

yeah i took a look at the de_cbble css file, to get a hang of it, seems like something i will do last.

Lol, actually before i started mapping i was into 3D and 2D. even released 2 weapon models with skins that ive made for CS back in the days

Omg, stop the whining! hehe.. Actually 2 cars fit on the road. And ive never ever seen a gas station with rounded poles =/ Also the fences are there because i want fences there. The rest of the things are just stuff il do later. I plan on making the basic brushwork later, and then i will "rounden" it so to say, and fix the lights and textures. If u dont like it, tough! BTW OL, reall nice, but wheres the skin? D:

yeah, maybe.. im gonna try some different skyboxes. fixed up the gas station alot, gonna get some screenies now! :EDIT: Some models, like the pole on the street, are supposed to have signs on them, but they arent showing in the map. D: weird.

Actually, at work, i was sketchin on the gas station, and i decided to make it little more rounder, and change some textures. Im free from work tomorrow, so guess 5 times what im gonna do Btw. im loving valve hammer more and more each day.

Some nice traffic signs to make it feel like a street. This is a parking house that ive been working on (most the brush work). It will look better with cars and shit in it.

Thanks st0lve for clarifying that. Ive spoken to mikezilla on irc, we got some plans for this map, and its turning out pretty nice, who knows, if i get everything right, there will be screenshots soon!

Im currently playin around with some diff lights, trying to get something that looks nice ;P Also i read a tutorial about overlays, so its gonna be even sexier. Those texture are not from CSS. They are HL 2 textures. thanks for the nice comments

Well, im makin a CS:Source remake of cs_assault mainly for me to learn how to use hammer. Only problem is, i can make powerlines hanging from roof to roof, but i cant seem to make a fu**ing ladder. Lasalas tried to explain, but he is silly. He sent me to countermap :/ Anyway, as you can see, my version is more of an industrial landscape than a city. (Although the skybox will prolly have big buildings in the BG) What you can see on this little teaser picture is the CT start, just remember before you complain at me, that this is very WIP and thats why i put it in this WIP thread and it is also LIP (Learning in progress). This is my first "real" map for the source engine, and ive only used Valve Hammer for 3 days. So i am still learning. And i know this isnt much of a screenshot, but you will see more later. <3 /Tisky :EDIT:

I got it to work, if i reomved "write to disk" protection on the valve folder before each build.. i know sucky english. hehe. still its fun.. i kinda like this light colour, feels "matrix"ish hehe.. gonna try that bounce thing later.. playin poker with friends right now , thx

where do i add the -bounce ? hehe.. also i added a sink, but the funny part is, its a prop_static and when i get close to it i can see it, but i can see thru it aswell fucking weird

Its already a prop_static.. Im getting crazy, i added a huge part of the map, but it doesnt update..

How do i make it cast a shadow? :EDIT: BTW, i made something wrong with the lamp models on the first try, and they fell down the ceiling, that was kinda funny, they bounced around!
