  1. I guess I've been spoiled by Unreal, which will let you rotate, scale, non-uniformly scale, and move the pivot point of just about anything without any hacking.
  2. I've not messed with Source enough to place a model, I've just made some brush rooms. Maybe it's not rotating I'm thinking of but scaling. Can you not scale a model in Source? I sure do.
  3. I first heard mine in the Tool song "Third Eye". It's from an audio clip of the comedian Bill Hicks doing a joke about tripping on acid.
  4. You can't rotate a model in Source?
  5. Cool stuff, I really like last two.
  6. That's what I was thinking. Everything Tomato does has his face on it. Your not that attractive. And the map doesn't look that good to be honest.
  7. This might be the first TF I actually like.
  8. Its a little camera. It helps me find my threads.
  9. The party in which people who can't sing try. Pat does the GhostBuster's theme song.
  10. Look at some other "space tech" games for some architecture ideas or even some of the other futuristic-themed maps that come with UT2k4. Make note of how these maps use brush shapes to make a solid and interesting room and then look at how the lighting and meshes compliment the brush shapes. Look at how the textures are used on floors, ceilings, and walls.
  11. MapEdit 3.something for Woldenstein3D.
  12. The pride I feel when completing and shipping a game is one reason I love this job. Another is the fact that the place I work in has some of smartest and coolest people and the work environment can't really be beat. The money is also good, relatively speaking. I also love the work I do. I like being on the cutting edge of computer technology.
  13. It's possible, but I'd bet the probability isn't that high.
  14. For now anyways.
  15. I do agree that there are similarities, I just think that they are nothing more that coincidence. The human mind is prone to making connections where there are none, and has tendencies to highly over-exaggerate small similarities when there is no meaning behind them. We are pattern seeking animals.
  16. Some people would really love it to be inspired by HL2 for no other reason than they think HL2 is the best thing to ever happen ever. It's an odd thing that happens when someone is so enthralled by something that when there is a similarity with something totally unrelated, it must be copy-catting. There will probably be more people to see this movie than people who will ever play HL2 ever.
  17. Ahahahahhaha Evanescence! hahahah EMO j/k
  18. I love those little Volvos.
  19. It's Unreal Engine 2, probably 2.5.
  20. Shoot, I don't even live there anymore. That picture was taken in November.
  21. If you're looking at it from America, it's small. If you're looking at it from anywhere else in the world, it's medium to large.
  22. Bla, I wanted something AWD and practical. I was close to buying a Nissan Frontier truck, but changed my mind in favor of something that made more sense for city driving. I like the hatchback because it gives me plenty of room for anything. It's not a super fast car or anything, but it handles amazingly well in the corners due to the AWD and I can park it ANYWHERE cause it's a little car.
  23. Saab 9-2x
  24. It was just that instructor guy that was badly voiced. Everything else sounded ok. He reminded me of some cheesy Larper trying to act cool mid-LARP.
