  1. "I'm tiring guys, can I play sniper for a minute to catch my breath?"

Imagine, like BF3, all the heavy breathing and gasps for air as the team reaches an objective. And when both teams meet at the central objective, 64 people panting and coughing like mad.Oh god the horror.

From Software has been awfully quiet since their reveal of Dark Souls 2 in December, their third Souls game. But IGN released gameplay footage today of Dark Souls II , followed by a short Q&A video. Typical for a Dark Souls game, the developers doesn't want to reveal much, but the video does show some changes in gameplay mechanics from the previous game.

If you have not played Dark Souls yet ... do it do it do it do it do it. And don't read wikis or guides.

  3. I sorta don't want there to be any more content. Sure, there are a lot of possibilities, but I can't imagine it will add much to the game. Is DLC confirmed?

Doesn't say when though. Also noticed the screenshots on the Steam Store are from the old Bioshock Infinite art and HUD. Misleading product!

  4. While being a fantastic game, some things is going to need some explaining, maybe in the coming DLCs?

For example, the Songbird is still a mystery on how it came to be, what's under the hood, why is water so bad for it (other than fragile "eyes" that crack from the slightest water pressure), and where did the vigors come from? And why is the energy called salts?

In Bioshock 1, we get told that scientists were allowed to play god and thus created the plasmids, plus getting the first plasmid was dramatic compared to how Booker reacts to getting the Possession vigor. I expected him to flip out over suddenly obtaining a supernatural ability, but he just acts like "Ok that's nice I guess". In Infinite, the vigors seem be just there for powers sake, since I sure don't remember anything that implies or tells scientists were creating superpower sodas that is the vigors.

I was looking for the source of the vigors in my playthrough, like you were going to find some sort of lab, but it never happened. Perhaps another thing brought into the world using tears?

  5. Ok, I finished this tonight. Started over even (was some hours in already) just for streaming from start to finish, which I did. It's a great game, and god damn pretty in many places. The intro gives me goosebumps. Not trying to spoil anything, but the last 30 minutes of the game ... I just sat there going "wha ... isn't ... how ... did this ... it's ... WHAT?" at what was going on. And the game has some pretty eyebrow-raising moments throughout it too, not just packed towards the end. Play it, and you shall see too. And lets see what the DLC's from the Season Pass will do to flesh out the story and events.

This game is a strong contender for Game Of The Year.
