96% is bang-on, it's what HL1 got in PC Gamer UK all those years ago and it's a kind of prophecy being fufilled. I honestly wouldn't expect any game, no matter how awesome, to get higher than 96-97%. Nothing is perfect.

Cubemaps aren't dynamic, so no, cheap water won't reflect models. Even the fancy water has to be told to reflect models, for performance reasons I presume.

If it's only for PC gaming and not for a Home Theatre system, then save some cash and plump for the delightful 640s.

I have the Logictech Z-640s are they are so good my ears bleed in delight. They're also extremely cheap; all you need for 5.1 PC gaming, DVD watching and .mp3 listening.

Aww, I wanted to be able to create smooth pipes without any of this modelling non-sense. I thought the new Hammer had a torus-tool just for such a purpose?

It's rather good, all I can recommend is more ambient sounds and the use of trims on pipes.
