  1. Let's recap what has happened with Daenerys this season. So yeah, pretty boring over all, but important still, and doesn't really deviate much from the book. As you said, it was pretty fucking boring in the books as well and I think they kept all the highlights. Sprinkled in some perfect tits as well. Theres a couple of more things that are going to happen to the mereen plot, but with only one episode left and so much stuff happening in Westeros at the moment I think they are going to save that for the next season. I think the next episode will feature

  3. Now that the trial is over, what do you guys think will happen to Tyrion next?

    Among the Sleep

If you power through it, then yes. But this game is less like quake and more like Dear Esther and if you actually play the game and immerse yourself then it should last longer than 1.5 hours.

    Among the Sleep

Today is release day! really excited for all the people working on this project. Its been a blast following it
  6. Got it on steam, played it until I died (an hour or something), then i went back to dota, like I always do I really liked that I could hit as fast as I wanted, only limited by my fingering speed lol
  7. Heres what happened, mapcorian wise I met Sjoerd, complained about his name (ironic, since my name is harder to pronounce). Wasnt funny. Met SKDR, he showed me his really cool looking game for ios. Cant wait to try it myself The next day I met Sentura and sjonsson at the Green Lion Inn during the Unreal event (free beer). The guys behind the bar had to pull this huge lever to pour a pint and they were working like there was next tomorrow. Anyways, the weather was awesome and we had such an awesome time that I ended up skipping the nordic game gala dinner. (and miss out on Krillbite, a norwegian company, actually winning a prize). Heres some pictures Sentura in the sun, wearing my awesome glasses Us later at the resturant were we had some chicken and the damn vodka that fucked me up. Sorry for the blurry photo, but thats what happens Sentura, me and Sjonsson Retarded version with more Sjonsson
  8. I met this girl at Nordic Game who said she'd started as an sound-intern for Rovio in Sweden. And after chatting a bit she also told me about her being in a band and I really fucking liked their songs. You'll notice that they have some retro-games remixes of their songs as well. And then she told me about what games she has composed and she brought up this game. At the time I could not remember hearing about it (sorry:P) and she played me the main theme music and I loved that shit so I made a note to check out this game later. And what do you know, its hipshots cool retro dungeon crawler. Small world Gonna finally buy this and give it a go now
  9. Posting this from the plane now. Will probably arrive at Nordic game around 11. I'll watch the keynote and then I'm gonna attend the advanced unity workshop in the Oslo room, for, the rest or,the day.
  10. What Hourences said is spot on. Its all dependant on what type of game it is (it should be mobile) and what kind of monetization plan you have (it should be free to play with IAP) And when I say what "type" of game it is, I dont mean what genre or how the camera is controlled. I mean what platform are you going to launch on, is it casual or hard core? easy to understand and easy to play? And when I say what kind of monetization plan you have it is not enough to simply say "f2p with iap". They will ask for key values that you have estimated based on what similar games usually deliver. What kind of social features is in your game? Incentiviced social sharing to lower user acquisition costs etc.. But firstly. Is the game already made? Because if you dont already have a completed game then they probably wont bother listening to you. Or they'll listen and sund super excited and you'll never hear from them again because i'ts too much of a risk backing "ideas" Its a sad sad world
  11. Ofcourse indie Night? Let's do it! I will be wearing my red mapcore t-shirt
  12. I'd stand up all day but I don't want to offend Markus. He's been with me for many many years now and I really like to sit on him.
  13. At my first job, as a gas station clerk we had to stand up all the time and I remember vividly that the first few weeks I got back pains and was super tired in my lefs after work. I had to get better shoes and learn to better my posture and it all went fine after that.
  14. So its the back problems that are spreading like a plague then, you mean?
  15. Standing desks spread like the plague. Our CEO injured his back while snowboarding and had to get a standing desk. Then we hired a guy to do QA and he wanted one as well (because he is old) and now our game designer is complaining about a sore back and wants one too. And we're just 6 people lol Are standing desks really that great?
  16. Ofcourse indie Night?
  17. Hah yeah, I've had this discussion a lot with LoL players and none of them seem to understand that if you pay you get an advantage simply because you can actually just grind and get the same advantage. But if I don't have time to grind I can pay.. to win... Its just the same with Hearthstone. Which, we all should know, is pay to win.
  18. I am
  19. Spent some hours with this on repeat today
  20. Hehe yeah I remember very well when I asked my parents if I could take 1 year off after high school to spend on making maps (This was the year HL2 came out). Unsurprisingly we had a huge fight and I ended up having to study at the university that year. After the first semester my grades were D, D and E. The next semester I didn't show up. But it was not because I was creating levels, it was because I was playing World of Warcraft. So my parents were right all along, I would not spend that year working hard, I would just spend it playing games and wasting my time. And after realizing what a failure I was and that I did not hold up to my own wows I was pretty depressed. But I turned it around. So the next year I switched schools (same study) and improved my grades considerably and finished my bachelors in programming after 3 more years, which in turn led me to the games industry with a (perhaps?) more fulfilling job than creating levels (at least for me).
  21. My son is really interested in two things. Dinosaurs and Captain Sabertooth (fictional pirate). So I've now arranged to take the family to Kristiansand Zoo to look at crocodiles (dinosaurs?) and take a boat trip with Captain Sabertooth! It's going to be AWESOME I think maybe I'm more excited than my son lol
  22. I like the wording they used about his technical know how is property of zenimax. Last I checked you cant own someones know how.
  23. Wow I had no idea some of you were battling so much dark shit. I just want to take the time to say that Dux you are so incredibly talented and there's been so many moments that I wish that I was you. But then I had no idea about that other side of you. The stuff you were dealing with. I wish I could help, but all I can really say is that I know there's a lot of stigma in Europe against going to doctors when all you have is dark thoughts and I just want you (all of you) to know that you should not feel that way. Oh and, if your current doctor is not working out for you, don't give up on doctors, just try another doctor. --- I think its weird how positivity and negativity works. There's so many reasons why I could be unhappy. I mean, I still beat myself up about how much of a failure PONH/ESE was, and how most of it was my fault. And so much stuff has happened since then that I should stop blaming myself for that by now. And if I focus too much on those things I start feeling really shitty, but luckily my mind usually blanks all that shit out. Day to day basis I don't have time to think about it. And whenever I start thinking about the negative stuff my mind usually just goes something like this: Are you fucking serious? All your life you've been devoted to creating games, and now you are doing it professionally. You have a wife, two children, you own your flat, a car and have a supporting family and a bunch of really close friends that would be at your door immediately if you asked. Stop complaining. I guess I don't have time to think about those sort of things lately either, with having a second baby to deal with and all. Summer vacation is coming up too, and there's just so much more planning involved when you have kids. I'm really looking forward to just sitting in a chair on a lawn with a beer in my hand. But I know that will probably never happen in 20 years lol I'll be too busy running after my kids
  24. Lately I've tried just wearing my head phones and not listening to anything and its actually better than listening to stuff. Except when the team starts having an argument, because that breaks my attention... So maybe I should invest in some noise cancelling head phones
  25. If you are, like me, interested in gui design then this should be fairly interesting. [16:9 version!] http://imgur.com/a/XOHfr#0 [16:10 version!] http://imgur.com/a/IOJaT#0 [4:3 version!] http://imgur.com/a/xwBHK#0 Reddit Source
