  1. there's career mode now where you dont start out with every rocket part unlocked, so you are kinda forced to start out with really simple rockets and work yourself up from there. Then just read some tutorials on the wiki on basic orbiting and you should be good to go
  2. hellz yeah
  3. at first I was ugh another "VHS" retro indie, but street fighter management game actually sounds super awesome
  4. It is very important to make a running fortress with 1500 dwarves on 50 layers lol that's actually one of the only things I can think off. And running dayz standalone smooth because it's so unoptimized. and yeah SSD is really worth it. Get a 128GB SSD if the price is too steep. You can always get a secondary HDD for storing stuff.
  5. are clock speeds really that important anymore? From what I know cpu optimization is really more about optimizing specific instructions and stuff like hyperthreading these days. Also what are the things you guys are running that need so much overclocked CPU power? My cpu is almost 5 years old now and everything still runs fine
  6. Definitely get an SSD, they are not that expensive anymore and the impact they make on the speed of your computer is HUGE. I recommend the samsung 840 EVO after doing a lot of internet research . I got a 250 GB one for about 100$. You can go for the 120GB one if you want even cheaper, but I would definitely not go for anythign below 120 GB. 8Gb of RAM is all you need, anything above that is overkill. graphics, don't get latest and greatest. either get a budget card or an older top of the line card like the GTX 580 (almost 3 years old now, still runs almost everything at high blazingly fast) CPU, I don't know much about, except that my CPU is almost 5 years old and everything is still running fast. I'd guess anything in the 200$ range is good
  7. basically tricky truck with better graphics: http://www.gravitysensation.com/trickytruck/ (tricky truck owns)
  8. cant fucking wait
  9. anyways i wish them the best of luck
  10. those poor poor shareholders
  11. lol ok
  12. making levels with sectors is actually really cool if you're making an indie game . You can't do as much, but what you can do you can do really fast!
  13. that looks amazing
  14. A lot of his work is really dated looking now. It's hard to see his airbrushed paintings as anything but tacky today, however I can imagine it was pretty wild in the 70ies, before all the cultural aspects tied to his work that are now so common and done to death (biomechanical cyberpunk stuff, videogame scifi art etc). basically, bad airbrushed album cover art from the 80ies ruined Giger for most people . I've never been able to see his work as anything but tacky, but I'm able to place it in it's time and see it's merits. Alien still holds up today.. it's hard to believe sometimes that it's a movie from the 70ies, when you compare it to other stuff from the same period)
  15. awesome, get the vga adapter if you can find it. Makes dreamcast look great on a modern tv!
  16. RIP biomechanical penis man
  17. yeah i'm responsible for that too apparently
  18. I made a page on uncyclopedia.com about Chuck Norris with a bunch of random made up Chuck Norris facts about 10 years ago. People started adding more facts pretty soon after. I'm pretty sure I started the whole chuck norris facts thing. I have no proof of this whatsoever.
  19. man, I've been playing this all weekend. The learning curve sure is steep but the payoff is worth it. I love how the game has no real objectives other than "(try to) explore space", and the feeling of progression is entirely based on your own skill and the gradual improved understanding of orbital mechanics .
  20. It's working great so far.. extremely silent, I can't hear any noise from it. It's modular so it comes with a bunch of cables, and you only connect what you need (so you don't have a bunch of unconnected cables hanging around in your case. Thumbs up! 750 Watt is probably way more than anyone ever needs, but i bought it with future expand-ability in mind. I hope to use this psu for a long long time.
  21. Did a little pc upgrade.. havn't done any in over four years so it was about time. All in all I only ended up spending 250$! 250 GB SSD new psu new gfx card.. the 580 is a few years old but it's still really good, and I got it for 50$ I think I got a really good deal
  22. my dream of playing skyrim with an oculus rift.. shattered .
