Thanks! The reason it's black and white is because I backlit the scene with a high powered green laser that seemed too energetic for a "couch potato". Might fiddle with the contrast later.

  4. I'm amazed you could get such fast speeds with ISO100 And great idea with the flash, I might try that sometime What? He is using an external flash, and when doing so, you always put it at ISO 100 because of the available light coming from the flash... Have you actually tried photographing water droplets in mid-air? Even with a lot of available light you need a very quick shutter timer. DVS you mistaked ISO for shutterspeed Not really, faster shutter speed = less light = higher iso or aperture required.

Thanks a bunch for great critique dude I tried a few of the things you mentioned and uploaded it here: http://d-v-s.deviantart.com/art/Which-c ... -116849882 I have a bunch of shots with different lighting, but what's unique about this set up is that my lighting setup sucks, I'm basically using a 15 sec shutter and moving the flashlight around in a circular pattern quite quickly meaning it's hard to get some of the spaces underneath the egg and stuff, but I really get what you mean with the comment. Should've gone with a white egg and made the whole piece b/w tbh

Thanks Here's some moar conceptual stuff: I don't like the lighting in the first one, so I may reshoot it later.
  7. I like both shots a lot, although the composition of the lower one is a bit weird, you have trees with vertical lines and then you have felled trees with diagonal lines leading you out of the picture. The top and bottom borders on the first one aren't that bad tbh, they accentuate the horizontal flow of the composition. Keep up the good work
  8. Don't take this the wrong way, I like where you're going with this so far, but it needs more distractions or a "complexity" effect. The second shot looks post processed but decent none the less.

Ours in bavaria are steampowered. Love the picture, great angle, clarity and the color atmosphere is amazing. Thanks Moar: can has wallpaper size? Well, that would depend on how you want it, what size and how to crop/rotate it.
  12. This shot could do with a bit of HDR/More Post-Processing, but I like your style overall

Thanks Here's a new one that I just did, my first HDR work though it may not look like HDR. Used photoshop to merge the images and did some corrections to the curves when transforming from 32bit -> 16bit.
  20. I like the first one a lot, the colors especially, the others have a pretty bland looking sky, but I guess there's not much you can do about that

For that last one, I wanted to use a cage with only spokes, and no decoration as that would have reduced the clutter, but I couldn't really find one.

I usually just leave the sharpening up to the RAW conversion tool in CS4, usually the best setting is the default one. Thanks
