It depends on your quality of work, I wouldn't read a blog about dm_css_fy_ka_kz_iceworld2000BC, but if you have 1 or more exiting projects, it might be worth checking maybe weekly etc. And then you could even "go to my blog to see more screens" etc. to draw some attention, because if you have a blog, you sure better be a community person. Also, helpful info and such are also a good ways of drawing at least some attention.

Yeah thanks for the link, but it IMO I'm not convinced at all. And I don't get what's so hard with what a standard server browser, or why you cannot combine server browsers and "newbie launch button".

You certainly do not encourage people do make proper mods or maps for a game when you do not add any tools to do so, both to development and proper testing. This is bullshit, and by the looks of it, my wallet is "empty" at the moment, and will probably be "empty" for a long, long time. When the only form of modding will be to make cheats, oh god, this just screams out for failure as far as I can see. I think I'll be able to enjoy MW2, especially SP and SF, but it sure as hell won't capture my life due to low support. Oh well, there are other fish in the sea. MW3\COD7 (since there will be a sequal due to massive sales) shouldn't even have a PC version, it just generates a major loss of sales due to piracy, since millions of sales aren't enough

Oh god. Check the IW forums. Poor guys What IMO is the biggest problem with no dedicated servers, is to make friends. On XBL, I have no friends that I play games with. None. Got some randoms on my list, which I've played a few rounds with, but that's it. On PC games, I can join servers that are affiliated with communities I like etc. Oh, I miss the Gamespy Arcade days, staging areas is da bomb.

Hopefully it will arrive ASAP. Because my current phone is dying more and more by the minute.

But D3, things like this need to be discussed. MW2 is probably going to sell gazillion copies, hell, I could even mail my opinion to IW\Activision, but then there wouldn't be no reply, and the whole discussion would go un-noticed. Delays in some parts of the world will result in more downloads in the actual areas, especially when a so large amount of people are too pumped to wait for it. An Batman styled thing could at least work for SP, but come on, you'll play SP once, maybe twice, then MP for a couple of years... I'm buying it, for sure, and even a couple of weeks could kill some bugs etc. so a regional delay isn't only bad, but I'd rather have the game on release day and live with some bugs for a few days...

But if we Europeans have the ability to download the game before it hits the stores, I guess a lot of people will just download it instead, since they don't want to wait for the release date.

Epic stuff!

Much love for this game!!! My only complaint, is that everything looks glossy, uniforms, gear, weapons and vehicles, which of course is a big no-no, since it ruins camouflage. But I sure won't be playing MW2 for realism.

The whole "read the book 1 week before teaching it" works fine until a certain level. The problem will rise when someone get to the point when they want more, and get up on your level and maybe past. How will you help them with their problems if you haven't got a clue on what to do yourself? Go read a book isn't an option, because then the student could have dropped the entire course and rather have read a book by himself. You need to make sure that you are on a level MUCH higher than what you are teaching, so that questions related to your course isn't going to be over your head. I had a teacher in design 1 year, after 2 weeks I passed his skill in Illustrator (never touched it before) and my PS skills was waaay above him. I even had to help him out sometimes. Now that was embarrassing both for me and him, because I could have stayed at home, and he showed everyone that he wasn't really that capable. Once when I asked about a problem, I got a full copy of "Illustrator for Dummies", and IMO that was the worst answer, even though I solved the problem after a couple of hours of trail and error (screw the book!)...

Dirt looks a lot of fun. Reminds me of Super Off Road from SNES
