were sticking with the normal HL2 scale now that the grid is large enough. and yeah that 3d skybox is using the texture from inferno on a displacement. but i felt it needed to change, i wanted to make the skybox more life-like which is why i stuck in the trees and houses.

Hey guys this is something ive been working on for HLRally:Source The first one is using an old skybox and lighting.

im not exactly sure what the original idea was for hlrally, but it was clear that the community wanted weapons. i guess it took a little convincing from gabe to move ahead with hlrally:source and change the design of the game.

yeah we are, but it wont be traditional rally this time around. were going for more fun filled combat racing with lots of weapons and destruction.

yeah i took about 10-20 screenshots of that section.

thanks for all the positive comments heres the layout: http://www.hlrally.net/warfle/misc/morbidlayout.jpg the top left corner was the part i remade from the original ravenholm, the rest i added to change it into a circular shaped DM map. i guess you have to run through it to see exactly how it differs. i guess i cant really prove that the map was built from scratch, but isnt the hl2 leak about 1-2 years old? i doubt ravenholm was even finished around the time it was originally leaked. you guys will just have to trust me on this

no, i didn't get the original vmf from anywhere, i just rebuilt it as close to the original as i could, then modified it to play well for a dm map. actually, 80% of the map is brand new stuff that wasn't in the original ravenholm. EDIT: sorry, quoted wrong person.

"If you traveled through time, you could encounter yourself in any of the alternative scenarios, but you could not alter the flow of your own space-time continuum. It's physically impossible." as we all know, its possible to slow time down, and possibly even stop time for certain observers. i wouldnt rule out time travel as just science fiction, but then again its way too much to comprehend at this point, well for my puny brain anyway

a lot of scientists believe that when a object that has mass reaches the speed of light, it turns into pure energy and destroys the object. there was an experiment where scientists shot a beam of light (which has no mass) through a tube filled with certain gasses at 300 times the speed of normal light. the beam of light actually exited the tube before it entered.
