  1. Indeed, assuming physics allow. Now imagine shooting one straight into a repeating portal creating.. an ever moving portal. or an object falling into a partly opened portal, unleashed when the exit is placed? Please share the obviousness, this stuff actually keeps me up at night Looking forward to seeing this evolve though I need a portal at the bottom of my empty pringles can.
  2. multiplayer? What happens when you shoot a portal into a portal? If it cancels the previous one out, what happens with someone travelling between them? Telefragging redefined

While drooling I'd just like to humbly add to the suggestions of increased contrast - I'd try to use it to differentiate more between foreground/background contrast/saturation (remember atmospheric perspective..the use of some brighter colours up close maybe?) my 2 cents great work

  5. My first map was for Quake2 and didn't have a floor and ceiling. You might be surprised it didn't compile.

  7. thief 2.5! stylish lighting! In pic 4 and 5, you need to work on the ground a bit. try a small bar in pic 4 where the ground elevates, or an edged texture. some goes for pic 5 (fountain).

    yes! lesson nr 2 in making staircases - randomly apply texture offset on the vertical faces it's the attention to detail! most sexy

I'd been planning on my big comeback-map for about a year and did some concept work in hl1 - however, I'm leaving for UK/USA in about a month and won't be able to do any gaming/mapping there So..instead of just letting this stuff sit on my HD for the next few years I'm stuffing it online for anyone to play with. Included are some tryout textures for my heat-based map, a heat example .rmf, my old ripol textures + tryout map based on those. Also included are a pile of screenshots taken from the heat movie and the real-life ripol village.
