Looking back to Vivi's original post.. can you even noclip? For shits n'giggles I tried, you can enable sv_cheats 1. But you can't change gravity. When I enter in the command for noclip it doesn't work..

Follow the plot and you'd know. ZING. Also, G-man spotted on the bridge when you first arrive. Only place I saw him, besides the little cut-scene when you're resurrecting Alyx.

There was one part in that chase, the antlion took the right path, so you took the left path. It was a just a circle basically, I sprinted and I didn't even get half way to the the small cave, and he just bucked my ass like half way across the cave and I died.

..Did you read it? I mean it says the answer, all I did was google.

That's really what made me enjoy Episode 2 so much. There was an actual element of gameplay that invoked a certain panic inside of you while playing. I for one was jumping out of seat runnin' down that cave to find the next hideout. It was a great chase sequence.

I meant from the start, it seemed a bit out of place. I didn't really gather and unite everything until the very end. Then things came together and made sense all together.

Added some screenshots, pros and cons. Add yours too =)

Sorry? I run at max. resolution and graphics in Half-Life 2. I didn't consider resizing for a bunch of fellow gamers

**MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS IN THIS MINI-REVIEW!*** Well, I just beat it. Took me half a day, but I finished Episode 2 finally. It's not a shocker that I finished it within that period, it's that I'm blown away by Episode 2. This is far better than Episode 1, even Half-Life 2 itself! Everything was beautiful to look at, fun to play, and like anything-- had it's cons. Pros: -Harder enemies. It was actually difficult this time, I died a few times at the harder parts. Strider attacks, hunters, zombies. -BLOOD! Finally they added blood, and lots of it. There is waterfalls of blood when you shoot someone now. -The scenery was great, it looks beautiful on Source Engine. Caves, forest, mountains, particals. All looked absolutely stunning. -There is a new car to drive, it's awesome. -Achievements, I'm glad they put in achievements for it's more than just beating the game, there are additional bonuses. Cons: -I have no idea what is going on. I played Half-Life 1, and Episode 1. Still, I didn't know where we were going to, what the hell is White Mountain? Who is the new doctor guy who appeared from nowhere? Why are we launching a rocket? The plot seemed very skippy over alot of details. -Hunters are such bullshit to kill. -All somewhat predictable. By that I mean nothing ever comes simple. You get in an elevator, and you know it's going to break or crash. It's easy to predict what outcome will happen. BELOW ARE SCREENSHOTS THAT CONTAIN SPOILERS, DO NOT VIEW UNLESS YOU WANT TO SEE, OR BEATEN THE GAME AND ALREADY KNOW. (All resized, if you want a larger version just ask.)

Not to hijack, but it's TF2 Map related. Is it possible to make a map Sudden Death only? As in every round it's sudden death. I don't know about anyone else - but I find it tons of fun only having one life and last man standing type deal.

Looks neat, is that a resolution size? Besides that, I wish the background (The original white part), was a bit more high-res and not so spongey.
-
I wish you'd of made this post awhile ago, our company just got new Wacom in. They raffled off all 10 the old ones, and I won and just resold them out.

I sort of think I'm alone on this but... I hated it. I mean, it just wasn't fun, I think the graphics and models are top notch, it's hands down a great accomplishment for the team. The gameplay though, just.. I don't know, doesn't seem anything like the real TFC.

That's hilarious you've guys yet to learn to atleast show the slighest amount of respect for a beginner's work. But, anyway, as for your map it seems very dull. You have a good idea of architecture & using props. But that'll only get you so far, personally the map to me just appears to be a mesh of hallways. There isn't much that shows this being a "factory" of sorts. This is a screenshot from Forsaken mod: To me, this is a very typical industrial factory. Has grime, dark colors. Lots of metal & brick. And it's more than just a hallway. Personally, I'd work more on a full layout, have some industrial machines, generators, water pumps, something.

Do you have AIM or msn?

The hell? I wanted awhile ago, when I first play Ep. 1 to make a HL2:DM map around a hospital, cause I loved the hospital props avaliable. But I was told I couldn't import the models to HL2DM cause of legal stuff. Did you? Or is this mapped and played in Episode1?

Uh... is that the texture or the reference photo you used?

I haven't skinned a gun in a long while, but I think a large mistake people make is over scratching. I mean this as constructive critism, not to flame you, you're a great artist. The gun barrel just seems to.. be insanely damaged. Which is fine, but that many scratches like doesn't seem to possible.. That's something I did really fast. I think when people do metal it's more just a spongey-noise grey. With the occassional scratch or ding amongst the edge. But that is just me.

I really love the engraving design, that looks top notch. But I dunno, the wood and metal, well.. The wood looks really low resolution compared to the rest. The metal itself also doesn't appear to 'metal'ish. It looks great, but it looks like you focussed more attention on the engraving then the rest sort of got finished in a hurry?
-
great job, but in the third pictures those bricks really show a distinct tiling pattern, might want a new texture for that
-
When you say made, are you a one-man team? As in did all the modelling, level design, textures, coding, etc? I played the first awhile back, I wasn't blown away (But not a ton of stand-alone games are amazing). But I might check out the others someday.
