d3 basically has been working on a rather impressive (atleast from the screenshots) mod for half-life 1. I assuming its monster-themed like AoM mod. also jack dawson was the name of the guy from the titanic movie

I'll have to ask nexus - ho ho, just kidding. No, but I downloaded some program called, well that doesn't matter, but it just gave me an error. Oh well.

The concept is rather original as opposed to the artsy-drawing-photoshop backgrounds. I personally though would suggest the billboard be a model.

Yes, I am bumping this. Was there ever a .wad released with this, Strat? Or is that forever gone?

Yeah how about you don't tell people to shut-up for giving a respectful critism? I agree with Buddy, you did an awesome job at remaking cs_siege. I think you stuck with the layout too much though. The map still seems within Half-Life 1 potentional, everything looks the same as the original cs_siege. What's the main difference of a CS:S map and CS map? Well, a CS:S remake usually takes the original map and expands on it. They add new parts, new paths, buildings, but all keeping the 'original' layout intact. You could of done alot more with this is basically what I'm getting at. Especially the indoor section, it could of been a whole facility instead of a parking garage.

I just saw it last night.. was sorta. I don't know, personally I think the actor did a great job. He did act just like 47, his moves were rather "boxy" and robotic, his voice was monotone. Perhaps if he was just a little more muscular he would of fit the part. I wish they added in more stealth scenes though, I mean really that's what he's known for I though. Being able to sneak in and disguise someone in silence before anyone knows. That and what the hell was that stupid scene where all the agents come out in the subway with knives? That was just stupid to watch.

Was there a piano wire scene? My friend said there was, but I think he was lying.

Where did you get that bed model? I have the matress, but not the actual frame/body of it.

That's what I was going to say. I go through subways alot and stations, I'd say in terms of Hammer 3.5 you'd want to go only about 64-96 units high of tiles before the actual wall. The point of tiles is they're easier to clean than a normal wall, they wouldn't go over your head like that.

Defrag - I believe games should really be in their own category now adays. I agree that media like violent movies and tv-shows expose children to violence at a young age, BUT, you don't learn anything really from it. I mean sure you might learn how to hold a pistol and chop a guy's head off, but really. When it comes to videogames you are the shooter, you're in the first person comitting these acts unlike a movie. Well, except Doom. I think that first person experience is the main difference between a movie and a video game. Do you feel you would be a more effective killer because of games? Yes, I think I already touched on this, but from what I learned from video games teaches me to be a more affective killer. There is no doubt in my mind if there was a scientific test between a video-gamer and a person who had no gaming experience (With first person shooters), and they went to a firing range or some type of gun-firing course. Without a DOUBT the video-gamer would win. It's simply because they already know how to do even the littlest things like holdin' a pistol properly. To break it down simply in math. Video games for years, mostly First Person Shooters and gun games + Mentally unstable, depressed, bullied, retarded, or whatever = More likely to kill someone.

Personally I agree with the media in connecting video games with video games. Of course it's not always the case, and I really don't know the facts on this particular story seeing as both the of links supplied in this thread are no longer avaliable. I think the majority of video gamer players learn a certain "killing" skill and aspect to them. I personally play all type of first person shooters, and some were more violent than others such as Postal. When you play these games you learn techniques and a sense of killing. I call total bullshit if not everyone atleast once played out a gun shooting involving you. I know I have numerous times pictured myself in a bank robbery or a shootout. And where does alot of those visions come from? Video games. I think the difference between myself and this student or any other school-shooter is I'm not insane. You take a look at the majority of students who shot fellow classmates most suffered from depression, bullying, mentally challenged, or social outcasts. When you mix those with video games you've basically found someone who loses touch with their reality.

So? It was posted by Killertomato and in EOT. Not everyone reads EOT and the other half doesn't bother to read anything killeromato writes.

Term - These are just my crits/ideas, you don't need to take them. 1 - The prison sink from HL2 looks madly out of place. (atleast I think thats what it is.) It appears to be a very middle-eastern place, and randomly there is a sink. It also is way too low, unless it's meant to be something else. I'd rather see another spiritual well or something. 2 - I don't know, something about the enterence to this small room seems odd. You either enter through a smashed wall, or a lifted gate (The gate looks pretty bad too.) I just wish there was an actually desginated hallway arch. 3 - Maybe it's just me, but these appear to hang really low. I think you'd smash your head on them. When used in lostcoast the ceiling I think was proabably 256-512 units from the ground. Looks awesome though. I really think this map would look great with some custom models/props.

i'll be in Boston tomorrow who lives there and wants to fuck around? and when i say "fuck around" i mean have sex. gay sex.

I'll start with the positive side of your map. You have good lighting, it looks very deserted and lonesome. You've learned to use curved walls and know not every curve is a perfect 90 degrees. Beyond that you're lacking alot. I think everyone will agree with this - You lack content. You have these boring open hallways with nothing in them. Like screenshot 2 and 3, just dull open hallways. You could of added so many things! Pipes, props, trash, crates, stains, decals, graffiti, lights on the walls, trash cans, vents, ANYTHING! Your map has potentional but you need to involve more props.

ReFlex - Nice model. I actually remember when HL2 first came out, I would join all the servers with a custom map. I actually remember a really nice subtransit remake. (If it's for that.) It was a bit blocky, but overall it was decently made.

 Kind of hard to listen to it considering he said that in a different video, buddy.

I know awhile back I gave out 2 accounts because friends quit, but this is my original and first account since 2004 (or 2005). I quit this August, let a friend play who stupidly transfered and changed my character's name to be completely homosexual. I can't reverse the realm change, sorry. I was originally a guild leader, so I had first dibs on everything out of Karazhan, when we started SSC I found it too much between work and WoW. I kept all my gear socketed and enchanted with the best, include epic gems. Money isn't my biggest focus, I put alot of work into him and I don't want to see someone just resell or completely trash him. But I do want atleast some cash for my account, so if anyone is interested give me an offer.
