The think about bundles JamesL mention sounds attractive, still the noise and overheat is the problem I've encounter mostly so far and I would like to reduse it, and I guess its not as easy as just buy alot of fans and throw them in, cause you gotto know how much power you need to have. I've changed graphicscard, networkscard and added ram to computers so Im not all new to the interior and maybe I do a bigger scene then what it is. Thrik, you said your is dual core and the one i suggested was quad (3) right? I've always looked how many megahurtz ( :roll: ) a computer have as a guidline how powerful it is, but with 2 cores with 2.4Ghz that means that basicly its a 4,8ghz? You also mention that no games uses more then one core as it is now. I thought the new HL ep used one of the core to do the destruction but maybe im missinformed, whats so good with 2 cores if no games use it btw? Another question is if i shall go for Vista with its full dx10glory or if i shall stay with the old and "safe" XP? I wont need to buy a gfx card since I won a 8800GTX that I havent even touched

Ok ok I've been talking about a new computer since the beginning of the summer but since playing TF2 and seen HL: EP2 screens and vids (and Crysis too) I realise that I want to play it "the way its meant to be played". The last two computers I've bought was from smaller companys and I've having a hard time with overheating and noise. I'm thinking of order a built one from a company who knows what they doing since I'm tired of all problem I prolly would encounter otherwise. I know that Dell might not be the cheapest of them all but thier rigs are built for gamers and looks like it could settles my needs. I dont know how to compare price on a fair way but if you just convert the amount to US dollars it ends on 2,862.69 USD. Is this a fair price? (Note that it exlude the 22 inch screen) Many of you have told me "Build it yourself" but then you have to know exactly what you want + you have to know about fans and electricity + you have to install everything yourself. So I rather pay some extra to get the work done (not to much tho). So what do you guys suggests? It looks like a solid rig to me. Thanks for the help.

I did not missed you Mazy ;D, but you got disonnected every now and then. One thing I don't like with the beta is when the host dissconnects the whole server shuts down, would be better if someone else get the host role like in COD3. The beta feels good altho its a completly diffrent from other COD where you can get 3 rounds and still stand. Its possitive tho cause people might work closer togheter or atleast not rush as much, but I want to try the chopper, DONT KILL ME DAMMIT!!!!!

You´r right when you say that they arent looking like much, looks to me like one of thoose 10$ you find in your local food store. I'm looking for some nice, good headphones for my gaming experience. My current setup today is a 5.1 system wich I'm happy with (a feeling i suspect my family and neigbours dosen't share) I use it for both my PC and Xbox put I've decided to try headphones for awhile now. The 5.1 system (wich btw is this http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=4&subcategory=25&product=240 have this little remote with a headphones plug to it. My question first of all is that if i buy headphones with surround will they get reduced effects due to the fact that its allready going tru another 5.1 system? I'm looking for headphones that have great sound (obviosly) surround sound and/or 5.1, Mic for gaming is something that im intrested in but I prefer good sound. Any ideas?

Mazy, The Sims is the most milked franchise and don't you forget it! The demo is really cool, alittle hard to remember the controls, but I had the same problem in THPS so I guess I'm not a skate person. I really dig the videoeditor altho I would like Max Payne slowness and not just 25%, I would also like to see the videoupload function acctually works.

I don't agree with Mazy thinking it's a sad thing, altho I can clearly feel that I too was lured into the hype (I regret the bruised knee i got when crawling into a store on the release day, but I dont regret getting the wii (wich i got at a later time btw)) Were are all the good games Nintendo? Were are all the promised goods? (I even get more goods from my mailbox in Animal Crossing then from my Wii) What happend to the low game price that was promised (A wii game cost as much as a 360 game in Sweden) Whats with the region lock? (I want to buy cheap games in US, or even unreleased ones) What about a demo channel? (sure, weather and news channel are all nice, but demo channel is something GAMERS want) Congratiolations to the high sales, but it's time to deliver something more to gamers.

Hello I'm looking for a good photoshop tutorial on how to create a realistic caustic effect (as seen below) I'm thinking of using it for some web page maybe so if someone have a tutorial on how to animate it would be gold (alto its not necessary) I've seen the effect in some games so I thought some of you must know.

I rember seeing COD screens like it was yesterday, how i drooled of the war torned fields with the dead cows. COD was (and still is) a really cool game, United Offence was even better (in the mp part atleast) much thanks to its drivable vechiels. COD 2 was good and all that but I wonder why they didn't put ragdolls in it. COD 3 wasent much of an update gfx vise, and I agree with Izuno about the to much chaos. I love the mp part on my 360 tho. Since (as far as im concernd) they havent realeased any specific info about what they see as "modern war" I would take lightly on speculations, maybe its a senario like Rainbow Six of some sort (hopes) but Iraq,Iran,China might not be so bad either.
