  3. A very interesting and addicting game. I really enjoy it.
  4. As Reno said, I feel like i just looked at 3 or 4 different maps... you need to keep you themes consistent. You have a fancy bridge, to an industrial complex to what looks like aztec bricks. It appears as if you started this map with no idea of what you were going to do with it.
  5. i am simply awe struck... this is by far the greatest RTS game. The one that I have been waiting for. That and Total Annihaltion 2 but its called something else ...
  6. Well Nexus.. I do know now... because i didnt before..... As for you Defrag, its looking pretty cool, Im getting more and more excited about FF, I cant wait for the mod!

  8. Wow great lighting, great atmosphere and great brushwork. I'm very interested to see how it plays and what its like ingame.
  9. Yeah real sad to hear... but as for your map, I really like the atmosphere but as Peri said work can be done on the textures and models. But also think some contrast in lighting and shadows would be appropiate in certain places.

Very nicely put.. but i find what you said about us being a little short tempered when it comes to modern combat a little comical since there are a good number of members here that are on the Insurgency mod... heh what can you do though? nervoussquirell, i will surely make a map for you guys.. because i have wanted to focus on a small and tactical level... but again, I would really like to see a good amount of progress in the mod before i start contributing my efforts.

I dont think he implied that, I think he was implying that his goal would be to fill in BiA's blanks and basically TRY to create a mod that would have more accurate and tactical firefights... ones that would be better and more intense than the "whoa look 2 more kruats behind a wall.. supressing team fire.. oh look their ducking... fire team go around the corner and kill them." I think he saying he is going to try to aid more "flare" and less repetitivness than BiA... Keyword in this post is TRY.
  13. hmmm interesting im starting to realize your gameplay a little better and the more i think about it the more interesting it sounds. But really your making your mod soley rely on the mappers. If the mappers have absolutly no clue what their doing then you mod is fucked. What I would percieve as a good map... is small but tactiful... something like what RD is working on in the level editing forums... Small and tactiful..though not appealing visually. I bet you jump right in the action and have a blast. I could see myself possibly making a small tactiful map for this mod in the future. But i dont see myself joining a mod anytime soon, exspecially one that has no existing content or code completed. Not throw down your mod its just that I have been on one to many mods that have died and my work has gone to waste. Or i just lose interest. I will be watching this mod and keep me informed of its progress because i might get lazy and stop checking.

  15. Wait wait... so this is another modern combat mod... just like BF2 and Insurgency (not bashing on the games just talk about their overall themes).. Im a little confused at what seperates your mod from all others. I mean I duck and shoot and take cover in DOD: S but thats because i dont want to get killed. I really dont see any interesting new features that pits your mod against the rest. And please dont give new graphical features as in realistic muzzle fire, night vision, weather,.. The community wants new gameplay! Well sir what ever you do goodluck.

  17. Well sir you best get on top of your game! lol jk I would be interested to see the style you would incoprate in your usual "sci-fi" themed textured if you were to do a HL2 set... seeing how the textures would have to be approached in a different way to complement the source engine.

  21. Much agreed Ferret. Though only on there for a short amount of time, it was very fun and very interesting. To bad it had to end like it did
  22. EH?! I actually used normals for these textures.. and the tile uses a spec map. But as for the history and where bumps are going.. I have no idea. I used the nVidia plugin for the tile and working on modeling a normal for the last diffuse there.

  24. ooo Nice voodoo hamster: Outside may be a bit to orange for my liking, as for the inside... maybe calm down on the brown pipes everywhere. Other than that is looking pretty good. BUT! 2 questions... is that evil monkey on the catwalk... and also whats up with cyberathlete amateur league?
