  1. Ya, I know. I dunno why, but my maps sorta lack...I dunno, "soul"? :P

I know the editor, but I'm a shitty level designer.

naah, dont say that. You should instead listen to the criticize and make the fucking map unique. :-D

    HAHA!

  2. ah, Insta.. Your problem inlies in the first 3 shots.. and their lighting, some superb lighting could change the whole room around, what you need is more "natural lighting".. either raise the gamma or lower the brightness on the lights. the first 3 pics have 0 shadows. Shadows would do the first 3 pics wonders.

  3. lol thanks, anyways thanks for resurrecting this, I cant really show to many more pics. Not sure what the TS wants to do but its going to be an official TS map with Capture the Flag gameplay. So you guys will get it when the new TS is released.

  4. The light is like it is because they are not shooting at the moment.

Well why not make them shooting atm. It sound like you have not control over it haha. Well dont be lazy mate. This map has tons of potential.. just needs tweaking in certain areas. Also i the last pics it maybe a bit dark. try adding spot lights.. it will really make it look nice.

  5. What I find to be the easiest and most effective is, first play the game ur makin the map for, then continue on to study official map styles, look at their flaws and upsides. Then bring up the ol'hammer and create a room, finish (detail proper lighiting and such) If the style/theme seem ligit, then conitue on the lay out by drawing it on a piece of paper. Try to labal sections of the map that would correspond with theme you are try to achieve. This makes it easier to achieve proper detail and a mind set of what the room will look like. After the layout is complete begin to map room by room. Compile often so you know your achieving the proper look.

    Good luck ;)
