  1. It sure does look detailed~ The water looks great as well. However, I hope it won't have too much focus on scifi crap. The pics do look promising though. And yes, I want cheesy cutscenes!
  2. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/com ... index.html Discuss.
  3. ~~ I would never ever touch the win98 theme, it's disgustingly PCish. Oh and hamst3r, that looks ultra stylish! Your website looks awesome as well. Great stuff especially since ya are 16!! Keep it up!
  4. The approach is still very different in nature. Tony Meenaghan (2001) explains this in his research article "Sponsorship and Advertising: A comparison of Consumer Perceptions" (Psychology & Marketing, Vol. 18(2):191-215) Sponsorship is perceived as beneficial whereas advertising is considered as selfish. Sponsorship is indirect and subtle while advertising tends to be direct and forceful. Regarding sponsorship, the intent to persuade is disguised. In advertising the persuasion intention is overt. As for defence mechanisms, sponsorship is characterized by a lower state of alertness resulting in better acceptance and a lower level of conscious registration.
  5. Looks cool, but how would that work in a document in paper-form?
  6. That's not advertising, that's sponsoring. There is a big difference between the two.
  7. Hmmm not bad... I would like to say a thing or two about more interesting ceiling structures though.
  8. The eggfart series was fairly played if I remember correctly. Hmmm but that was crystal~
  9. Well that too, but it's still a landmark for HL 1 mapping. That map brings so many good memories ~~
  10. Who wouldn't have? It's one of HL's best maps imo.

Classic mazzle map depth and complexity, lovely! I want more! ~~ And I want something more mazzle like features added.
  12. Oh yus... Mazy's HL1 maps were phenomenal
  13. Phenomenal~!
  14. maz.... kissmeyer was the bomb~~ it always inspired me to map~
  15. Warm liquid goo is from the first Austin Powers~
  16. Yet you fail to give reasoned explanations to why a person should believe in something supernatural and illogical, characterized by extreme naivism. Do you expect me to believe in something that was created before man knew what gravity is or that the earth is round, or the fact that christianity is not the only religion to exist on this planet? One can say that christianity itself has undergone countless evolutionary transformations while abolishing smaller and weaker religions along its path. Why must everything be explained? What exactly is religion and why are there so many and differing versions of how our world came into existence? What is time for that matter? Ignorance. Desperate attempts to explain the unknown. Attempts to create structure and meaning into our simple lives. This is where evolution once more comes in: put two groups of people in two highly different and enclosed areas. After a while you will notice two new and distinct cultures with unique subcultures, values and beliefs, ideologies, etc.
  17. Nexus, just WTF are you on?
  18. It's not a bullsquid, it's a bullchicken!
  19. What's with all the shitty movies recently? http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/slither/
  20. ... and Campaignjunkie~
  21. And so will you... ~~
  22. Yeah it was a shame. The majority of the team who used to work on the HL1 version have moved on.
  23. I don't really see anything special in it, an overly simplistic, brief, naive, and uncritical summary of globalization using only two tertiary sources.
  24. Uhmm... It's done by Adam Foster, a Nigthwatch sir ~~ Anyway, the second part was brilliant! Level design kicks Valve's buttocks in terms of freedom of movement and multiple pathways enabling far richer strategic possibilities.
  25. My opinion is no. I expect such marketing to backfire in the long run. Neither does such marketing represent my values or my view of effective advertising. It's still a very very generic commercial which is something that should be avoided in a world where the amount of commercial clutter is still increasing.
