  1. It was actually in production before counter-strike, however thanks to them changing coders every week and people running away with giant chunks of resources (Mazy's maps, the only decent ones, Hugos decent models, now half the animations are missing) they basically kept restarting. Same reason it's buggy as fuck.

  2. Yes, I do wonder why screen-shots were needed to tell someone to increase a field on the texture application tool, or to download zoners.

kleinluka: Harry Hill came before Gordon Freeman. He wears them because they're cool, Gordon is a mere imitation.

  3. I should mention a big attraction should be the scripting system, which is something very common outside of FPS games and something you should get aquainted with if you're just some trigger-target nooblar who hasn't touched an entity system different than Quakes. You can do some neat stuff.

Looks like it could be fun to do something with this. It's essentially a NES/SNES/Gameboy style Zelda game engine with a lot of scripting support. It's not perfect, and honestly not totally reminiscent of Zelda (especially in the combat department), but it is something fun to play around with. There are a few quest files on the site but none seem to do the engine a lot of justice, there's also an example that comes with the engine that is more of a showcase of what the engine can do. If you play it, go to the house with a wooden side to it and bomb the dodgy wall to save yourself wandering town for days on end. But that little demo isn't the point, go play with the editor or download some proper qst's.
