  1. Worst review ever~!

That review was so biased that it makes Santa Claus look real.

I want to see an objective in depth review first. I don't give a rat's ass about PcGamer's corrupt bs.

I think it's fair to asume it'll be worth playing simply by the fact "id" will bust out of a rusty sheet of metal 2 seconds after you click the icon.

  2. What questions did it raise exactly? Aside from having the same plot as doom only "Demon" replaced by "Alien," and "Hell" with "Xen," All you really have is the government conspiracy, which doesn't exactly help it in the cliché department.

It's not bad per se, but it's not exactly a brilliant or worthy of discussion. Even an Internet geek theorist who once wrote a 6-page essay on his inaccurate, profound predictions to the contents of Matrix: Revolutions --wherein we're in a infinite set of matrixes that loop around to form incomprehensible paradoxical existence-- wouldn't think more than "eh, lets see what happens,” opposed to a random outburst of “Gordon is THE ONE."

The atmosphere was awesome; in fact the story section was interesting because of the pre-disaster warm up and the scientists being popped by exploding machinery, not because of, y’know, the story. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what the second one offers, hopefully more infernal giant babies wearing nappies, and the Gates of Hel---err, Xen will be once-again guarded by the cruel and uncouth sperm spewing testicle with legs.

  3. I know loads of people that don't like them, but they're also the same kind of people that hate all consoles and know that buying and playing, what is essentially the same FPS's with updated graphics, is the most enjoyment you can receive from gaming; and Half-life’s plot was fucking genius (even if it was the same as Doom with in game cinematics).

  4. It was revolutionary graphics wise, it was just a mediocre film and had nothing at all to do with Final Fantasy aside from a storyline merged from 7 and 9 with spirits, goofy helmets and a TINY easter-egg chocobo on Aki's briefcase.

Making the movie a sequel is a good idea, the actual game itself would need a lot of changes to be made into a movie as the story sequences are just talking, there's way too many characters and plot twists even for a 3 hour film; hell even making a film for each disc would be stretching it (although the 3rd disc is tiny so you could space it out better).

The reactor bombing, speech with the president, meeting Aeris, brothel raid, support destroying, shinra raid, oh-shit-everyone-is-dead walk around, battle with rufus and two robots of doom, motorway chase, clouds giant -but insanely cool- flashback, running the Chocobo past the giant snake, etc. Would all be giant scenes, you're about a third of the way through the 1st disc having seen them.

  5. 1. Buy greens and Chocobo Lure (purple support materia, I think you get this automatically actually, if not Bill in the stables has it).

    2. Equip one of your characters with Chocobo Lure.

    3. Run around the bird tracks, eventually you'll get into a fight with a Chocobo and other monsters with a very different battle tune.

    4. Immediately pelt the Chocobo with greens so it doesn't run away

    5. Kill the monsters making sure you don't hit the Chocobo (if battle goes on a while you might want to feed the Chocobo again,).

    6. If it's just you and the chocobo left, battle ends and he's yours until you dismount.

Later you can capture them and keep them, feed them, race them and breed new types. Joy.

Don't use the Choco/Mog summon materia, that doesn't have anything to do with this and is actually an optional item you got for making the Chocobo dance about like a loon. Choco/Mog typically hits all opponents as well, so if you're in a battle with a Chocobo when you summon he'll get hit, and run away.

  6. Final Fantasy VII's ending wasn't that great, the final battle was amazingly cool, as was OMNISLASH GO GO GO. But after than that it was the blocky models climbing out of the crater and lots of ribbons and particle systems stopping the meteor. I liked the way Red XIII returns years later (presumeably after raping Yuffie or something), though. Storyline was great, but I guess they couldn't pull anything else at that point.

Final Fantasy X had a better ending in my opinion, even if it did go on too long in parts. Tidus' "I know it's selfish, but this is my story" speech before the final battle rocked as did them not chickening out with Tidus and Auron, and the whistling on the pier before Yuna's speech. I really liked the whistling, same kind of "I'M WELLING UP BUT I'M A MAN AND IT'S ONLY A GAME SO I WILL PREVAIL" feeling I got at the end of FF7 disc 1.

Sorry, but MGS2's ending sucked .

  7. Whoa, I shot that guy, but now a medic is helping him so he can rejuvenate and resume firing red hot pieces of metal in my general direction; BETTER TURN A BLIND EYE.

    No wait, that's Hollywood.

The first incident happened when we were in Phillipsbourg. We were in a factory outside of Niederbronn being briefed by our C.O., Capt Frank Ellis. As he sent us down the road toward Phillipsbourg, following behind A company, he said, "good luck, be careful, we have reports that the Germans are shooting at Medics".

Attacks on medical personnel were common, the enemy correctly assuming that killing medics and corpsmen would increase U.S. battlefield casualties. Medical insignia, including the red cross, became favorite enemy targets.

Not WW2, but that's moot anyway.

    Robert Roden-

"I met [my] brother after St. Lo fell. He was with the 28th Division, A whole story here. I was put in for a silver star at St. Lo along with [steven] Tippy Vasil. It isn't any wonder they started shooting medics, those of us that went up to Hill 122 carried B.A.R.s wrapped up in litters."
