  1. that should probably be half checks for both since there won't be nearly enough in the first shipment.
  2. The PSP... oh wait...
  3. wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
  4. Because MS is throwing around their considerable market share to get the standards changed in their favor. IE7 will be the new defacto internet browser (downloaded via critical update and bundled with Vista). Sure, it's a dickheaded thing to do, but they're doing it anyway. Big companies can't afford to have their sites be non IE7 compliant.
  5. Do you have a perm?
  6. pssh, don't even bother with CSS. Microsfot is going to fuck up CSS standards when they put IE7 out.
  7. Damn, sounds like a fun trip. I'm jealous. I love long train rides (especially with booze, women, and guitars).
  8. EXACTLY. Why the heck would you want to work like that? It forces you to work on fundamentals and problem solving because you can't just use excessive polys are a crutch. It's the same sort of theory that is used to teach painting, architecture, fashion design, etc.
  9. The first time I was playing a game online (Interstate 76), it asked me for a nickname. I didn't have one. I was listening to the radio and a local DJ was named Fletch.
  10. I was about to say "hit the space bar a few times until the rotate widget came up" before I realized what I was saying. Feckin' Unreal hotkeys have taken me over.

    I wish I had ADobe Acrobat 7.0
  12. I understand why some people would be offended. It's a 50/50 call on whether they should have changed it. It's not as though you've got the time to reshoot the opening, but they could have started it with Conan walking out of the water and still achieved the joke. It's a tough call. They probably should have at least given the heads up to the affiliates in Kentucky so they could run commercials over it or something.
  13. Went out shooting today trying to confirm a place I found on Google Earth. The good news is that what I was looking for (some abandonned railway bridges) was there. The bad news is a park ranger found my car and interrupted my shooting trip before I got to do anything cool. At least he was nice about telling me to leave, plus he liked my camera. So this is the only good shot from that half-adventure: The sun was slowly going down and I felt bummed that I had driven half an hour for virtually nothing, so I decided to stop off at a local park and take some sunset pictures. Sure, it's trite, but they always turn out pretty.
  14. We had something like that hit Lawrence. They officially called it a micro-burst, which meants tornadic winds but no funnel. There was a retaining wall across the street from my house that had a bunch of gravel on top of it. All the gravel got picked up and thrown down the street like buckshot. Every car on the street lost a window or two. Very odd ting to see.
  15. Wow, let's raytrace some shit.

If you're just using it for school, I suggest with just the straight MacBook (not the Pro). It's small, rugged, has tons of built in apps, and is one of the easiest things to use on wifi networks.
  17. Psssh, I wanna see new footage.
  18. Your use of the world realistic is funny to me.
  19. We all watched this at Gearbox. I think the consensus is that the game looks like ass and will probably suck. Just kidding. Totally inviso-stabbing people when it comes out.
  20. Needs suicide bomber belts.
  21. Edit: Sorry, copied and pasted too fast.
  22. http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=24232 Prepare to have your childhood memories raped by burly men.
  23. I wish people had focused the shots, though.
  24. ahhhh good times.... especially because i don't remember a good chunk of the night.
  25. remote control helicopters are actually really hard to fly. the cheap ones aren't balanced properly, and the expensive ones are so touchy that it can takes months to hone your skills. That's why we use a mini bike.
