  2. i love when they added new models to css. they totally neglected the sdk and didnt update the fgd with the new models. so every playerspawn in my map is a big red ERROR

    only thing bothering me is the fact that in the shots i see the same exact arch used over an over. each stone identical. especially when they are so close together like in your last shot.

  9. on the ramp. try to make it seem like its possible for those tracks to be used. as it is no train or anything could really use those. so round off the bottom and top edges maybe?

  12. nope. just need to make an HDR skybox. see http://developer.valvesoftware.com for a tutorial on a HDR skybox.
  13. there arent hdr entities. you just compile in the hdr during rad after setting the HDR brightness on any lights you have. i think leavng them at -1 like the defaut is makes it the same as your normal though. but if you use the beta sdk you just check the hdr box when you compile.

  15. The thing i dont like is how some of the dam is clean as the day it was made and then the doors are looking like they have 90 years of rust on them. and maybe dont add music to these kind of videos.

  18. Thanks for all the crits and ideas so far im still not very good at all this. this is the closest to final anything i have done has gotten so /me crosses fingers
  19. Ok i have started making the tunnel thing and what not into a finished product. I went with it being a storage room instead of whatever random stonebrick tunnel it was before. a little too prop heavy inside but im thinking of alternatives. \
  20. the huge amount of screenshots is because theres just so many areas that need work.
  21. This is a map i have been working on for a few weeks. I have the layout pretty much solid and need to flesh out the details now. here are some pics of the main areas.   22. only thing i have to say is <3 the DB9 and those cars look like they were made for like gta 3 or vice city. same kind of styling.
  23. I can name a few games that have wrecked my social life. first one that i really just sat down and plyaed straight through was mafia. that was a bad idea like 18 hours of playing. and of course the counter-strikes and dod's did the rest of the damage.
